Chelsea set to offer Christian Pulisic plus cash for Victor Oshimen amid Man United's interests

Premier League rivals Chelsea are reportedly set to sign winger Christian Pulisic as part of the deal being offered to Serie A side Napoli for their in-form striker Victor Oshimen.

The 24-year-old Nigeria international has attracted interest from top clubs in England, including Manchester United and Chelsea, who are both front runners for his signature. The Sun reported that Graham Potter's Chelsea are winging to give out Christian Pulisic plus cash for the inform striker.

Chelsea's new owner, Todd Boehly, has spent heavily in terms of recruitment. The Stamford Bridge recruitment team have been able to attract the likes of Joao Felix on loan, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Noni Madueke, and Mudryk in January, but they are still bent on voicing their opinions.

With Christian Pulisic hardly getting enough game time and struggling with injuries, the Blues are ready to use the 24-year-old as a weapon to beat the likes of Manchester United to Victor Oshiematsu's signature.

Victor Oshimen evolved into one of the top strikers in Europe (at least this campaign) after joining the Seria A outfit from Ligue 1 outfit Lille SC. With Luciano Spalleti's side on course to help the club lift their first Seria A title in 30 years and still a force to reckon with in this season's UEFA Champions League, Victor Oshimen has made a vital contribution with his 25 goals in 29 games, across all competitions.

Erik Ten Hag only had the goalscoring abilities of Marcus Rashford to rely upon in his first season at Old Trafford. The 25-year-old has two goals more than Napoli's star while enjoying a goalscoring career-best campaign.

While Manchester United will evidently need a striker in their ranks and Chelsea are building up their squad ahead of the next campaign, it is yet to be seen where the Nigeria international will end up. He has admitted he is open to moving from Naples but is currently working on the task with Naples.

However, Manchester United are still linked with several other strikers ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window. Harry Kane and Victor Oshimen are the two atop their strikers' shopping list.
