Ten Hag makes summer transfer claim as takeover saga takes different twist due to 11th hour bid

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, believes the Premier League team can recruit more "quality players" this year despite having trouble persuading some transfer targets last year.

After taking over at Old Trafford the previous year, Ten Hag survived a shaky beginning to lead the English soccer team's fallen giants to the League Cup victory in February and break their six-year trophy drought.

With United currently holding down fourth position in the league, the Dutchman wants to ensure Champions League qualifying for the upcoming campaign. He expressed optimism that additional elite players would like to contribute to the endeavor.

"I see a big difference in comparison with last year. Now, many players see the project, what's going on, the dynamic and the ambition," Ten Hag told reporters before Saturday's home game against Wolves."

Under Ten Hag, United brought in players like Casemiro, Antony, Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, and Tyrell Malacia. The team has been linked to several players, including Harry Kane of Tottenham Hotspur.

Although they were making solid improvement, Ten Hag stated that expectations would be higher next season.

"There were a lot of reservations last year, doubts when we approached players. This year, many quality players really want to come."

"We have to rebuild and reconstruct," Ten Hag said. "We are in that process and in the right direction. You can see that in the way we play."

Transfer update

Ryan Gravenberch, a midfielder for Bayern Munich, is up for grabs, and Manchester United has entered the fray.

After leaving Ajax last summer, the midfielder has had a challenging season. In Germany, he was unable to get going and frequently found himself beginning games from the bench.

Despite not getting many starts, the Holland international has played in 30 games in all competitions and has one goal to his credit.

If Man United is successful in acquiring his services, he will be back in the midfield with Erik ten Hag, where he excelled.

Due to the fact that the 20-year-old is only one year into a five-year contract, the German club may demand a high fee after acquiring him for €18 million in June.

Football Insider claims that United has entered the competition as Liverpool prepares a summertime offer for Gravenberch.

Ten Hag reportedly requested that Old Trafford's recruitment department bring in reinforcements for the midfield position.

This is a department the management is eager to develop, as evidenced by the signings of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen in the previous summer.

Having already collaborated with the management for four seasons, Gravenberch might be the ideal choice. The talent is definitely present.

According to the source, Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool have had a long-standing admiration for the player, and prior rumors suggested that the two sides had already agreed on personal terms. Additionally, it asserts that Bayern are open to letting Gravenberch depart this summer despite conflicting reports, as it is obvious that he is dissatisfied with his lack of starts this year.

After making it plain that the team must sign a striker this summer, it is unclear whether Ten Hag will have the money to pursue this transaction.

Given that a takeover is imminent, it's unknown how much money the Red Devils will have to spend during the forthcoming transfer window.

According to rumours, Sheikh Jassim's efforts to acquire Manchester United and complete a purchase have been impeded by a bank failure. In the race to acquire the club, the Qatari billionaire appears to be trailing Sir Jim Ratcliffe. As the saga's conclusion draws closer, he is still in the running.

Sheikh Jassim announced his intention to purchase United in February and, like Ratcliffe, has already made three bids for the team.

But according to The Times, Ratcliffe has currently outbid his rival, putting the British tycoon in the lead.

According to reports, the INEOS CEO's offer is close to £6 billion, while Sheikh Jassim's personal offer is more in the neighborhood of £5 billion.

According to reports, this has cost Qatari owners billions of dollars, which has prevented them from acquiring United and this has'seriously weakened' Sheikh Jassim's campaign and given Ratcliffe the upper hand.

Even while that is the case, when the Raine Group and the Glazers get ready to make a final decision, the Qatari number still can't be completely ruled out.

Despite having earlier sworn not to make a fourth attempt, reports on Friday said that Sheikh Jassim was thinking about making a "11th hour bid."

Given that Ratcliffe is willing to let the Glazers stay in a reduced role in the next days, it will be intriguing to see what transpires.

The brothers Joel and Avram would initially remain as minor shareholders as part of the INEOS CEO's plan.

Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are prepared to invest in Man Utd.

In the first few years of Ratcliffe rule, they would also be permitted to sell their shares and holdings in the club.

However, any buyout in which the Glazers remain in any capacity is likely to provoke a backlash from the audience.

Since protesting against the family's ownership on a regular basis for the previous 18 years, supporters have long made it obvious how much they dislike the family.

Before a recent 1-0 victory over Aston Villa, supporters lined the streets, lighting flares and yelling to be heard.

The Glazers, while being extremely unpopular at the club, have frequently refused to give in to fan requests.
