David De Gea recieved praises from Erik Ten Hag following match changing saves

Manchester United's manager Erik Ten Hag was glad with his side's resilience after falling behind in the second half of their encounter with Fulham in the Emirates FA Cup quarterfinal clash at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

The 53-year-old saw his side comeback from behind to win the match 3-1 thanks to some controversial incidents that took place, which saw two Fulham players dismissed as well as their manager Marco Silva. Bruno Fernandes scored twice, and Marcel Sabitzer got his first Man United goal as they sealed a date with Brighton Albion in the semi-finals.

Erik Ten Hag indicated that his players' resilience and personalities won them the game while praising them for fighting back.

"Once again, we showed great character." "It's not that easy," he told MUTV full time. "We've played the most games of every team all over Europe, every third day, and every time we showed personality, resilience, and determination to win the game. Today was tough, but we didn't expect any different before the game because Fulham is a good team and you have to be good to outplay them."

Erik Ten Hag was full of praise for David De Gea, who played a huge role in keeping out Fulham's best chances; he was there to stop a ball destined for the far end of the net following a Fulham corner kick, and that became a counter attack, which resulted in a penalty.

"The first five or 10 minutes after halftime were really heavy, really tough," Erik Ten Hag added.

"We conceded a goal, and there were three big saves from David." "We survived and then made a great transition moment, and that was the key turning point in the game.”

"I think in the first half we played decently, but we could've been better on the ball." We should have recognized the overload on the left and used it better. "Out of possession, we did quite well."

"We had to work hard against a good Fulham [side], but I think we created some good pressing moments, and from then on we had really good attacking transitions with great opportunities to score a goal, which we didn't, and at halftime we should have been one or two up. "Second half, we lost a little bit of control, but we had great saves from David and then a great counterattack from Antony and Jadon Sancho," he said.

Manchester United will travel to Wembley Stadium for the semi-finals of the Emirates FA Cup in April, where they will play against Brighton Albion. For now, Erik Ten Hag's men will be looking to rest following the international break.
