The 18-year-old Argentine has been ruled out for some weeks due to an ankle injury he picked up during Manchester United's 0-0 draw against Southampton last Sunday. The winger was brought down after Southampton's Kyle Walker-Peters tackled him from behind in an attempt to stop the pacey winger from getting the ball into the Saints' box.

Rocking a grey hoodie with clutches and protective boots, Alejandro Gernacho was pictured leaving Hale village after enjoying a family lunch, as reported by the Daily Mail. It's good for the 18-year-old to have some fun and relax while he recovers from his ankle injury.

The injury came at a terrible time when the 18 year old could come handy for Erik Ten Hag's side as well as continue with his own personal development as a player, the injury as well has cost him a potential debut for the Argentine national team, he had recieved an international call up from the Argentine national team coach Lionel Scarloni few days earlier.

Having come through Manchester United's academy after joining from Atletico Madrid's youth team in 2020, Alejandro Gernacho has earned the confidence of Man United's manager Erik Ten Hag, who also holds the youngster in high regard.

Erik Ten Hag couldn't give a specific return date for the 18-year-old after the player announced that he would be on the sidelines for a while and also confirmed his withdrawal from the Argentine national team on Instagram. The 53-year-old former Ajax boss could only state that the young winger's injury was worse than first thought.

While speaking at his press conference on Wednesday night before the Red Devils face Real Betis in the second leg of their Europa League round of 16 tie in Seville, Erik Ten Hag stated the youngster will return to the team before the end of the season but didn't say exactly when.

“It will take weeks; it is a serious injury." "Once again, after Christian Eriksen, we have a serious injury after a contact,” Ten Hag said on Wednesday evening.

“It is difficult to make a diagnosis quickly." I saw him limping, and that is why I took him off.

“He will be back before the end of the season. "We need to get him back as soon as possible, and we hope he is ready."

Alejandro Garnacho has scored important goals in his debut season under Erik Ten Hag while coming up with game-changing assists as well. Fans will be anticipating his return, but it's good to see he's doing just fine while on vacation.
