James Maddison to help solve problems at United as Real Madrid plans to activate €100 million Gernacho's release clause

According to reports, Real Madrid is prepared to pay the €100 million buy-out clause to eventually get Argentine wonderkid Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United.

Florentino Perez has reportedly indicated a keen interest in signing Alejandro Garnacho, according to Defensa Central (via Fichajes). The termination clause for the talented Manchester United prospect is a staggering sum of €100 million, and Real Madrid president would be willing to pay it to retain his services.

Under Erik ten Hag, the 18-year-old has had a breakout season for the Red Devils, making 29 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing five assists. The Argentine has proven that he possesses the cunning and lightning-quick pace necessary to cause the audience to rise up from their seats. However, due to an ankle injury, he was sidelined for the previous six weeks of play.

Real Madrid had been considering signing him for some time. He just signed a new deal with Manchester United, keeping the academy graduate at Old Trafford until 2028, although he turned down a move back to the city of his birth to continue his Old Trafford career.

The previous contract with Garnacho was due to end in 2024. However, since the 18-year-old made his debut with Erik ten Hag's team, Manchester United and the player have been in discussions about extending his stay.

The goal of this new deal for Manchester United was to stave off any outside interest in their prized possession. Nevertheless, it hasn't had much of an impact on Los Blancos' interest in the Argentine sensation. And Florentino Perez is prepared to wait patiently and strike when the time is right by triggering the €100 million release clause in Garnacho's most recent contract.

After achieving success with the purchase of young talent that was high-risk, high-potential, and expensive, such as Vinicius Junior, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Rodrygo Goes,

Real Madrid, who recently acquired Brazilian prodigy Endrick in a high-profile transaction, appears to be getting ready for the second wave.

Garnacho started out in Getafe's youth division before being contacted by Atletico Madrid when he was 11 years old. Manchester United then kidnapped him when he was 16 years old. The young player's immediate future has currently been set, and Manchester United will benefit much from his recovery. It would be intriguing to see, though, if Real Madrid breaks the bank in the future to sign the promising young player.

James Maddison's latest

With Leicester prepared to move the playmaker at the conclusion of the season, Manchester United is one of the teams interested in James Maddison. He'd be the ideal long-term replacement for Christian Eriksen should he transfer to Old Trafford, and a bid of approximately £45 million should put off any would-be competitors. The England international's fee would be almost half that of Antony, and a transfer would benefit both the Red Devils and the player.

When the transfer window reopens at the end of the current campaign, Manchester United wants to bolster their midfield. Ten Hag believes further recruits are required if he wants to fight for the Premier League crown next season. The Red Devils are aware that they depend on Bruno Fernandes and Eriksen to inject creativity into the team.

And as the summer transfer window draws nearer, Maddison is one player on their radar. As they get ready for a brand-new era at the King Power Stadium, it was revealed on Monday that Leicester was willing to let its midfielder go this summer.

And that holds true regardless of whether they are successful in avoiding Premier League relegation. The fact that Maddison would probably be eager to join boosts United's cause.

First of all, under Erik ten Hag, the Red Devils are a team that is improving. Even though the Dutchman claims he is not Harry Potter, he has waved his magic wand since assuming over.

They have already won the Carabao Cup this year, and they have advanced to the FA Cup final. United is also close to qualifying for the Champions League once again.

And lastly, Maddison is a United supporter. The England international, who was once photographed wearing their uniforms, grew up idolizing great players like Wayne Rooney and David Beckham.

Thirdly, the Red Devils may be wooing Maddison because they see him as a potential long-term replacement for Eriksen.

Eriksen, who joined from Brentford in the summer as a replacement for Frenkie de Jong, has undoubtedly impressed.

But he can't continue forever; he's 31. Fresh legs in the middle would also be appreciated, as the team has struggled with that position in the past.

James Maddison won't be cheap at £45 million. Even still, it's a significant investment for a player who has yet to play in the Champions League. However, the 26-year-old will soon be available, and at about half Antony's cost, he would be a bargain.

Harry Maguire was previously poached by United for Leicester in 2019.

But in the present, the England international has lost some of his significance at the cub.

As the summer transfer window draws near, Harry Maguire is rumored to be leaving Old Trafford. Harry Maguire is unable to hold a line, according to Paul Parker, who believes the 29-year-old isn't good enough to play for any top 10 Premier League squad.

“He can’t do that," Paul Parker stated. "He wants to defend deep, which is why he ideally should move to a club that is playing with a deep line."

“Of course, he can’t play for a club in the top ten. He might be able to play for one of the teams below that if they are defending deep. He can’t play for a progressive team."

“But Maguire is going to be a problem in the summer window."

“I don’t think he wants to leave and I don’t think the clubs want to pay what Man United are valuing him.

“He enjoys being a Man United player and he is probably not ambitious enough to move on and keep his spot in the England squad."

“He might think it’s secured no matter what happens. He has this embedded confidence in himself, which in fact can be called arrogance to be perfectly honest.”
