Journalist tips United to sign £20 million Harry Kane alternative as Erik Ten Hag eyes Victor Oshimen's replacement

Benjamin Šeško may be on Manchester United's radar again during the summer transfer season, Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth told GIVEMESPORT.

Šeško has been on United's radar for some time, even though he won't turn 20 until the end of the month. Sheth described him as a "cheaper" substitute for Harry Kane.

According to a report in The Sun, United has been monitoring goal-scoring machine eko throughout the current season in preparation for a potential summer transfer.

According to reports, United scouts recently attended to observe the Red Bull Salzburg player play as rumors of a Premier League switch pick up steam.

According to a January ESPN article, Šeško, Napoli's Victor Oshimen and Tottenham Hotspur's Kane were the two other names on United's shortlist for a summer striker.

It was reported that Erik ten Hag was interested in acquiring a new center forward in the summer market despite signing Wout Weghorst from Burnley on loan until the end of the season.

Any chances of signing Benjamin Šeško at the conclusion of the season, though, may depend on his availability given that the Slovenian has already consented to a £20 million transfer to RB Leipzig, Salzburg's Red Bull sister club.

The fact that Benjamin Šeško has a deal with RB Leipzig certainly makes things more difficult, but Sheth of Sky Sports still predicts that United would express interest in the player.

Sheth spoke to GIVEMESPORT regarding the 19-year-old: "It would be a cheaper alternative. However, it is a complicated one to do because he's currently at Red Bull Salzburg, but he's already agreed to go to RB Leipzig in a deal that was worth around £20 million."

"So that deal is done. I know United were interested in January and they could have got him at a good price. But I think they were trying to just keep their powder dry just a little bit and thought let's do the short-term fix just at the moment when they brought in Wout Weghotst on loan.

"Then they could reconsider and reassess all of their options come the summer, because they'll know that there'll be more options available.”

Benjamin Šeško has been dubbed "the next Erling Haaland" for his goal-scoring prowess, and elite scouts from around the continent are taking notice.

A viral video collection of Benjamin Šeško's performances shows why the 19-cap Slovenian international has been compared to the Manchester City talisman due to his comparable playing style to Haaland.

Despite not yet turning 20, Benjamin Šeško already has an impressive 59 goals to his credit, proving he is destined for a goal-filled career in European football.

And if a deal for Benjamin Šeško is made possible by money this summer, United should seize the opportunity to sign the skilled shooter.

In other news Erik ten Hag, Manchester United's manager, is interested in signing Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani during the summer transfer window.

When the summer transfer window opens, Manchester United and Bayern Munich will compete for Kolo Muani. According to Sky Sport Germany, the Red Devils are also interested in Eintracht Frankfurt's attacker, but they now prefer a transfer for Napoli's Victor Osimhen. For Frankfurt this season, Kolo Muani has 13 goals and 12 assists while Osimhen has 21 goals for Napoli in Serie A.

Kolo Muani has already referred to Bayern as his "dream" team, but there's no assurance he'll make the switch this summer. The forward might stay, according to Markus Krosche, the sporting director at Eintracht Frankfurt. Basically, he said to Sport1, "We have no intention of giving Randal up after only one year with us this summer." He'd benefit from staying with us for another season.

Marcus Rashford has scored 29 goals across all competitions this season, leading Manchester United. When the Red Devils play Brighton in the Premier League on Thursday, he will be looking to increase his total.
