Man United to rival Real Madrid for Bundesliga winger's signature amid James Maddison's rumors

According to reports, Real Madrid will face off against Manchester United for the services of Moussa Diaby, a 23-year-old French winger.

Moussa Diaby is the object of interest from Real Madrid, claims a report by Fichajes. The 23-year-old is seen by Carlo Ancelotti as a possible Vinicius Junior backup. Manchester United is also interested in the €50 million market-valued Bayer Leverkusen winger.

Since joining Bayer Leverkusen in July 2019, Moussa Diaby has advanced significantly. The Paris Saint-Germain youth system produced the French winger. And although he won the Ligue 1 championship with PSG, he gained notoriety after leaving Parc des Princes. And he has made a name for himself as one of the Bundesliga's top attackers.

The 23-year-old has had another successful season at Bayer Leverkusen, especially when playing for the team under the guidance of Xabi Alonso. And through 42 appearances so far this season, he has a respectable tally of 14 goals and ten assists. Real Madrid and Manchester United are two potential suitors who have taken notice of Diaby's development.

Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid sees Diaby as a possible Vinicius Junior back-up. However, because the Frenchman excels on the right side, he can challenge Rodrygo Goes for the position. In spite of this, Marco Asensio will also be a contender for the job given that he is about to extend his contract with Real Madrid.

Diaby is still a possible target for Real Madrid, though. Furthermore, with a market value of €50 million, he may not be prohibitively expensive. However, Manchester United is putting a lot of pressure on the defending La Liga champions to sign the 23-year-old French winger.

Jadon Sancho and Antony have seen ups and downs at Manchester United this year. Therefore, Erik ten Hag is looking to bring in a wide attacker who can raise the bar in the final third. As a result, Moussa Diaby has become a potential target for Manchester United.

But a number of other Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, are also interested in the Bayer Leverkusen winger. Additionally, PSG will make an effort to hire him. It will therefore be intriguing to watch if Real Madrid or Manchester United can recruit the 23-year-old as the race for his signature heats up.

Man United tipped to sign James Maddison from

Leicester City's mid fielder James Maddison is the subject of an intriguing transfer rumor involving Manchester United. Manchester United is reportedly eyeing a summer transfer for the England international, according to The Telegraph.

Regardless matter whether Leicester avoids relegation, Maddison, 26, is anticipated to leave this summer.

Due to the fact that the creative midfielder's contract expires in June 2024, Leicester cannot demand a premium for his services.

James Maddison, according to The Telegraph, might be sold for as little as £45 million, with a ceiling of £60 million. This is not equivalent to £80 million. When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was reportedly interested in signing him in late 2019, The Star reported that Leicester were after his signature.

Earlier that summer, Leicester had sold Harry Maguire to United for the same sum. Since then, they have profited from Wesley Fofana's sale to Chelsea for £75 million last summer.

However, given Maddison's experience, talent, and age, a price of £45 million would be reasonable given that his contract is about to expire.

He has 42 Premier League goals to his name throughout the course of his career. This season, he has scored nine goals and given the relegation-threatened Foxes eight assists.

James Maddison has occasionally subbed out wide for Leicester this season and can play in a range of midfield positions.

In order to give Erik ten Hag the opportunity to play Bruno Fernandes more frequently in a deeper role, his primary function at Manchester United would be as a central attacking midfielder.

During Christian Eriksen's absence at the beginning of April, Fernandes performed admirably in the position, making an impression with his blend of control and discipline.

Over the course of the season, Maddison would lessen Fernandes' workload while also enabling Erik Ten Hag to utilize the Portugal star in a different way.
