Oshimen's agent breaks silence over transfer rumours as Harry Kane is told to ditch Manchester United

The Napoli striker Victor Osimhen's team denies the rumors that his future has already been decided.

For the Serie A champions, Osimhen has had a fantastic season. The 24-year-old's 26 goals in 32 games have attracted interest from outside the area.

According to MEN Sport, Erik ten Hag's top summer goal to fill the vacancy up front is Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane. However, Ten Hag has created a list of alternatives in case United finds it challenging to acquire Kane.

Victor Osimhen is one of them, and the Dutchman is rumored to be a fan. If he does not agree to a new contract, the Nigerian international's current term expires in 2025.

However, his representatives claim that no decisions have yet been taken. They informed Mundo Deportivo that "everything that is being said is false."

"It’s early to talk about the transfer window. A lot of people are trying to destabilize at this point. There is nothing."

Recently, Osimhen has also cast doubt over his future but, in an interview with Sport1, he claimed he was unsure what lies ahead of him. "I don't know what the future holds," he explained.

"I think I'm on the right track. At the end of the season, I will sit down with my agents and discuss everything.

"I will also be in talks with the club. I am incredibly grateful to Naples. We will find a good solution together."

Since Cristiano Ronaldo left United in November, the team has been in need of a striker. Although Burnley's Wout Weghorst was signed on a loan in January, the player is not anticipated to return to Old Trafford the following year.

Harry Kane told to ditch Manchester United's move

According to Jermaine Jenas, neither Manchester United nor Newcastle would be a wise summer transfer for Harry Kane.

Kane has been identified as Erik ten Hag's top target in preseason. Randal Kolo Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt, Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta, and Victor Osimhen of Napoli are a few more players that would meet the bill, but the Reds are rumored to be afraid that chairman Daniel Levy might prevent a trade because of this.

Kane's deal with Spurs expires in 2024, but after yet another trophyless campaign for Tottenham, rumors have increased that he may leave North London this season. Before the two clubs' Premier League matchup on Thursday night, Jenas claimed that United would not be a glamorous proposition for England's players.

"The other [interested club] is Newcastle," Jenas told the Daily Mirror. "They’ve got the financial structure for the foreseeable future, a team that has got stability, will play in the Champions League and grow.

"We don’t know how much they’re gonna kick on next year but I’m sure they’re going to. But if I’m totally honest, I don’t feel like those two options [Newcastle and Man United] are enough for Harry."

"I think that with his love for the club and the ability for Tottenham to pay him what he wants anyway – because they do have the ability to pay their best players as they’ve shown in the past – if those are only his only two options, I only see him staying at Spurs. Bayern Munich, I don’t see him because there because he wants to beat [Alan] Shearer’s [Premier League] record."

"But if Real Madrid came up, he should get himself on a plane as soon as possible because those opportunities just don’t come up often. You’re talking about the most glamorous football club on the planet where he can go and win stuff, and create another legacy at a different place and have a new experience with his family as well."

What is Daniel Levy's stance on Harry Kane's future at Tottenham Hotspur

Daniel Levy makes Harry Kane's trophy claim

The chairman of Tottenham, Daniel Levy, is adamant that Harry Kane can win a trophy with the team and has aspirations of erecting a statue of the forward someday.

Since his lack of any silverware continues to tarnish his otherwise stellar record, Kane has frequently been linked with a move away from the north London club.

Having smashed both records this season, he is already England's and Spurs' all-time leading scorer. With 273 goals overall for the team, including 206 in the Premier League, the striker is just two goals shy of Wayne Rooney's record.

Although Alan Shearer's 260-goal record is clearly within his grasp, his reputation will never be fully established without that trophy.

When questioned by the Cambridge Union if Kane must leave Spurs in order to win a trophy, Levy responded as follows: “He can absolutely win a trophy at Spurs."

“But being a legend is also important. The fact that he’s top scorer of Tottenham Hotspur – he’s making history.

“I hope one day that there is a statue of Harry Kane outside our stadium.”

This summer, Manchester United has been the primary Premier League club mentioned in connection with a transfer of Harry Kane. Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have also been mentioned.

Levy denied claims that he is the Premier League's toughest negotiator while also appearing to warn the Red Devils that luring Kane away won't be simple.

“I don’t consider myself a special negotiator or anything like that, I’m just acting in the best interests of my club,” said Levy.

“I think when it comes to the transfer it depends on the balance of power.

“If you have a player who you really don’t want to sell then you have every right to say no, you own the registration.

“It depends also on the character of the player, whether you feel at the end you can keep the player because we’re operating in a team sport, it’s very important that we keep the team together."

“Every circumstance is different," he explained.

What's Erik Ten Hag's view on Harry Kane

Harry Kane has been praised by Erik ten Hag as a "great player and great personality" in the midst of Manchester United's interest in the Tottenham forward.

Kane is the target that Ten Hag prefers to pursue in order to hone a lax assault in the summer, but according to insiders, United are hesitant to participate in any matches with Daniel Levy, the chairman of Tottenham.

Prior to United's Thursday night trip to Tottenham, Ten Hag expressed his appreciation for Kane, 29, but he would not comment on the possibility of him donning a red shirt.

"First of all, the number of goals," Ten Hag said when asked what impressed him most about Kane, "and also his key actions [that] come to a goal. Final passes as well. He is just a great player. Great personality as well."

When it was later suggested to Ten Hag the United squad required more personalities to handle setbacks such as the surrender in Seville last week, he concurred. "Yeah, definitely. But it is just be composed be calm, carry on, play your game, stick to the plan, stick together. it is about issues like this."

"I think we need leadership in such moments who know how to do it and they have already proved it here but also in other clubs how to deal with it. It must not be such a big problem as it is in this moment in some games and certain occasions. But I also want to emphasise there are other situations where we dealt very well with it."

Ten Hag initially hesitated when he was asked if Kane would fit in at United. "I am preparing my team tomorrow for a game against Spurs. He is one of the players that we have to face of Spurs, so I don’t think about anything else."
