Man United's fans wants Ruben Neves as Jude Bellingham's replacement While United decides Weghorst future

Wout Weghorst won't be joining Manchester United on a long-term basis.

Weghorst, 30, has played in 26 games since joining on loan from Burnley during the January transfer window, scoring a pitiful two goals.

Weghorst is under contract to Burnley through 2025, therefore United is neither required nor given the option to sign him. Burnley earned promotion back to the Premier League by winning the Championship.

Weghorst joined United to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, and he has already scored as many goals this season for the Red Devils as he did in 20 outings for Burnley.

In the summer, United prioritized a center forward, with manager Erik ten Hag's top choice being Harry Kane.

Despite credible sources claiming that Ten Hag is "obsessed" with Tottenham star Kane, United are also considering Napoli's prolific goal scorer Victor Osimhen.

Randal Kolo Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt and Rasmus Hojlund of Atalanta have been targets for United, and Ten Hag is a fan of Goncalo Ramos of Benfica and Mohammed Kudus of Ajax.

Wout Weghorst was one of three loanees United acquired in January along with midfielder Marcel Sabitzer and goalkeeper Jack Butland. Marcel Sabitzer is contracted to Bayern Munich through 2025, while Butland's deal with Crystal Palace runs out in the summer.

Fans wants Jude Bellingham's replacement

It appears like Jude Bellingham will switch this summer from the renowned black and yellow of Borussia Dortmund to the renowned white of Real Madrid, despite months of persistent rumors to the contrary.

The news that the Spanish powerhouses have made progress in their pursuit of the most talked-about 19-year-old in football this summer broke on Wednesday afternoon, effectively ending any chance Manchester United may have had of luring the England international to Old Trafford. When Bellingham visited Carrington in March 2020 with his parents by his side, United extended the red carpet, and they had not given up hope of doing so again.

Since switching from Birmingham City to Dortmund in July 2020, Bellingham has developed into one of the world's most exciting footballers, so it is not surprising that Madrid has made their move. He is a talent of a generation, and the Spanish team is fortunate to have him.

Although they have always acknowledged they were never at the top of the queue for Bellingham's signature, United will now have to look into different possibilities to boost their midfield department this summer.

Erik ten Hag is a huge fan of the England star and is known to have confided in close friends last year that Bellingham would be the player he would choose to sign. But that ship appears to have left the dock, and United cannot afford to mope around, especially given that it was always going to be difficult to sign him.

Bellingham would have been a perfect fit because United plans to bolster their midfield options this summer with a younger, more energetic player. Because of the persistent takeover rumors, Ten Hag is unsure of the extent of his summer transfer budget, and adding a striker will take precedence over reinforcing any other positions, avoiding becoming involved in the Bellingham conflict may, thus, prove to be beneficial.

What other options, though, ought United to begin looking into in their pursuit for a central midfielder? Of course, everyone will have an opinion about who would be the best fit, and you can almost certainly count on Frenkie de Jong's name to start trending again shortly. Of course, everyone recalls the previous summer.

Ruben Neves of Wolverhampton Wanderers, on the other hand, would be a more suitable and practical choice for United and Ten Hag to take into account.

Over the past couple of years, the Portuguese international has frequently been linked with a move to Old Trafford, and this coming summer may be the ideal time for the Reds and any other suitors to make their move.

Neves' contract at Molineux expires in June 2024, therefore Wolves may consider bids this summer if they are unable to sign him to a new term, avoiding the chance of losing him for free the following year. The 26-year-old is an accomplished Premier League player and would bring to United a diverse skill set, including a broad passing range, the capacity to control play, long-range shooting, defensive know-how, and more.

He has made more than 170 Premier League games since joining Wolves in July 2017, when they were a Championship club. Since then, he has been a reliable player. Because of his present contractual predicament at Molineux, it may be too good of a chance to pass up to even consider signing Neves this summer.

Ruben Neves wouldn't be a mainstay in the United squad for as long as Bellingham, but the anticipation of signing him wouldn't be as exciting. However, the Wolves star has previously been frequently linked with clubs like Arsenal, Liverpool, and even Barcelona, indicating that well-known powerhouses are aware of just how good he is.

He is equally capable of playing box-to-box midfielder or sitting deep and providing a layer of defensive protection. He is also capable of controlling games, which would provide United a crucial quality that Ten Hag is constantly craving.

He embarrassed the Reds with a 1-0 victory for Wolves at Old Trafford in January 2022 with a spectacular midfield performance, demonstrating to United's supporters firsthand what he is capable of. They wanted him back then, and this summer might be their chance to have their dream.
