FC Bayern Munich set to rival Man United for three attacking transfer targets in summer transfer window

In the upcoming transfer window, Bayern Munich is considering making a bid for Harry Kane, Victor Osimhen, or Randal Kolo Muani, all of whom are desired by Manchester United.

After losing Robert Lewandowski last summer, the Bavarians are searching for replacements up top. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has been in charge of the Bundesliga's juggernauts' front line this season.

Hasan Salihamidzic, sporting director for Bayern, said that the Allianz Arena team would be looking for a number nine next summer in an interview with Sky Deutschland (via Manchester Evening News). To that purpose, some of the Red Devils' target names are being eyed by the Bavarians.

The Old Trafford team's first priority heading into the forthcoming transfer window is Tottenham's Kane. However, the Manchester-based club has other alternate choices on their list because Daniel Levy is hesitant to sell the 29-year-old England international.

Osimhen, a striker for Napoli, has been in excellent form this year. The Nigerian is driving the Italian team's Serie A title defense. The team led by Luciano Spalletti has also performed well in the Champions League, and the 24-year-old has put on some excellent performances.

Kolo Muani is enjoying his breakthrough season with Eintracht Frankfurt. He is a France international. The 24-year-old has played 37 times for Die Adler in all competitions, contributing 14 assists and 19 goals.

Robert Lewandowski left Bayern for Barcelona last summer. Last summer, the Bundesliga's juggernauts added Sadio Mane and Mathys Tel to their front lineup. But it appears that the gap left by the Polish international is still there.

Erik ten Hag does not have many choices at United for the position of number nine. The manager only has access to Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst as natural strikers. Unfortunately, neither of them has impressed.

Obviously Man United needs to bolster their team with a capable center-forward. Given his Premier League background, Kane appears to be the best choice. Bayern's interest in our three targets, though, has significantly increased the level of competitiveness in the race.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are still linked with Juventus Dušan Vlahović and SL Benfica's Goncalo Ramos. Marcus Thuram and David Jonathan are as well on the 20 times Premier League Champions wishlist.

Borussia Dortmund's Youssoufa Moukoko was heavily linked with the Red Devils back in January amid the German teenager's transfer saga at Signal Iduna Park.
