Erik Ten Hag announces Alejandro Garnacho's injury return date amid being wary of Everton's threat

Manchester United fans will still watch their darling teenage winger Alejandro Gernacho play again before the climax of the season, and that's good news given how the Red Devils squad has been ridden by injuries and suspensions.Alejandro Garnacho will play once more before the season is through, according to Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United.

During his preference conference, the manager also mentioned that Manchester United needed to score more goals. He intends to handle this matter in the summer, when the transfer window opens, as United makes every effort to bring in the best players.

The fact that Garnacho has already contributed to nine goals this season, including four of his own after breaking through as an academy graduate, doesn't help with his injury.

During the disappointing scoreless draw with Southampton in March, the young player was out with an ankle injury. Kyle Walker-Peters' strenuous challenge was the reason behind this. Alejandro Garnacho had to leave Old Trafford on crutches after the game as a result.

On Friday, ahead of Saturday's early Premier League kickoff against Everton, Ten Hag gave reporters some encouraging news when he said Garnacho would probably play again before the season's end. "They have a target date in mind for his return," he continued.

“We have something in our heads,” Ten Hag said, as quoted by the Manchester Evening News. “He will be back before the end of the season, but I don’t want to bring so much pressure to the medical department and Garnacho.”

Ten Hag will provide opportunities to players like Jadon Sancho and Facundo Pellistri as Garnacho is absent for the upcoming weeks. They must decide whether to take a gamble amid a hectic season's finish.

The manager, Erik ten Hag, also believes that ahead of Saturday's Premier League fixture at Old Trafford, his team must be wary of the threat that Everton poses.

The Toffees are currently fighting to remain in the Premier League this season, but recent improvements in their performance have been attributed to the January signing of former Burnley manager Sean Dyche.

The Merseysiders, who have only lost twice on the road since his arrival, drew 1-1 with our top-four rivals, the Spurs on Monday at Goodison Park, demonstrating how tough they are to beat. However, United will be spurred on after beating Brentford 1-0 at Old Trafford in midweek as they aim to maintain their impressive home record thus far in the season. They haven't lost on their home turf in the last 23 games across all competitions.

During his pre-game Q&A with club media, Ten Hag was eager to emphasize this when asked how big it is to face an Everton side that is fighting to survive a relegation battle.

"Very difficult," he replied. "You see that approach, and it is normal, as at the end of the season in the table, everything is really close together, so there is a really big competition in all facets on top and at the bottom, so you have to be ready for every game."

"You need energy, you need focus, you need team performance, and therefore you need a good team spirit. When you don't have it, you get killed, and we have to be aware of that." "We have to be proactive, make the game, dominate the game, and then win the game."

Erik Ten Hag further pointed out that the change in the coaching department, which saw Frank Lampard sacked and Sean Dyche brought on board, has brought in a major change of mood around the club.

"It's done, it is away, and obviously the squad is almost the same; they haven't made so many changes in the winter, but they have changed their manager," Erik Ten Hag explained.

"That makes it a different approach because this manager, I think, is putting focus on different elements of football, and you can see that this is a really fit team, Everton." "It is a mentally strong team, and they have a good togetherness, which makes them tough to beat, so we have to play our best football."

Erik Ten Hag then warned his players of the threats Sean Dyche's Everton will pose when they lineup at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

"I just tried to express this; they are difficult to beat," he said. "We have to play our best, and when we don't play to our maximum standards, then you have a problem."

"We have to avoid that, and we have to be proactive; we have to be on the front foot, dynamic in creating chances, and make sure our defensive organization is always right," Erik Ten Hag asserted.
