"Playing at Anfield is always difficult"- David De Gea and Bruno Fernandes agrees on Sunday fixture against Liverpool

Manchester United's duo of Bruno Fernandes and David De Gea has gained insight on what the Red Devils' visit to Liverpool's Anfield will be like, and they both claim the fixture is an important one in the football world.

David De Gea, who has been at the club since 2011, knows how important the fixture is and stressed that it would be a difficult game for the Red Devils on Sunday.

"It’s always a special game to play at Anfield against Liverpool," David De Gea told manunited.com.

"It’s always nice." But I think again it’s just three points, the same as in other games. It’s going to be a tough game, for sure. "Playing at Anfield is always very difficult, but we have confidence, and we’ll take that confidence to the next games, go game-by-game, and we can see another big game on Sunday.”

Manchester United won the reverse fixture at Old Trafford back in August, which was the very first game they won as they started their resurgence this season. David De Gea, however, has set his sights on winning the Merseysiders on their home turf to keep the traveling fans happy.

"Yeah, it was a great game." "I think we played really, really well and controlled the game."

We didn’t concede many chances. Playing at home is great, and the fans against Liverpool made it a special day. "Let's try it; of course [this time] it’s at Anfield; we don’t play at Old Trafford, but it’s a nice place to go and play your football and enjoy it."

"The away fans are always amazing, and it’s a good time to play them, so let’s go with everything and try to win the game," David De Gea explained.

Bruno Fernandes agreed with the Red Devils' clean sheet record holder as he claimed the fixture between the two clubs is one of the biggest in the world of football and an important one for the Old Trafford faithful.

“Yeah, obviously in Portugal, it’s probably the biggest game that they see in the Premier League," Fernandes explained.

"I think everyone knows the worldwide importance of this game. "I think one year ago or two years ago, when we played them, it was one of the games with the most streaming viewers on television. I remember that."

"We know how important it is also for our fan base, and we are with them because it’s really important for us." Whatever is important for the club and for the fans is important in the same way for us. "We want to win that game, but as David said, it’s really important for us to understand that these kinds of games are really special, but they don’t give us more than three points," Bruno Fernandes explained.

"As I said, we know how important these kinds of games are for our fanbase, and as important as it is for them, it is for us in the same way, because we want to give them as much joy as we can, as much happiness as we can. Happiness and joy come from winning games, so winning at Anfield is something we know will mean a lot to our fan base. "We will do everything that we can to get the three points in that game," Bruno Fernandes asserted.

The Red Devils will be heading to Anfield on the back of a 3-1 win over West Ham in the Emirates FA Cup on Wednesday, and they will be looking to secure their first win at the Merseyside club's base in seven years.
