Man United not giving up on £67.1 million for Frankfurt Kolo Muani

Kolo Muani, a forward for Eintracht Frankfurt, is a target for Man United.

The search for a striker by Manchester United appears to be taking them far and wide. The name most frequently mentioned has been Harry Kane. Lautaro Martinez was included in the mix earlier today.

Kolo Muani has recently been mentioned in the media with a different name.

The Frenchman is presently playing in the Bundesliga for Eintracht Frankfurt, scoring 20 goals in 40 games this season across all competitions.

Sky Germany reports that United are pushing to sign the 24-year-old forward in an effort to outbid Bayern Munich for Muani.

Old Trafford needs a dependable striker who can provide goals in those tight games. That hasn't been possible for Wout Weghorst. Sadly, Anthony Martial struggles to stay healthy.

In addition to playing like a Ten Hag striker should, Muani will press from the front and won't waste the simple opportunities that United have been guilty of doing this year.

Muani, 24 years old, is someone who could easily provide you with five or more years of top-notch service, giving Ten Hag one less concern as United enters a crucial season.

Price would be one issue. Muani only recently relocated to Frankfurt as a free agent. The German club will receive a large transfer fee in exchange for letting the striker go.

Defeating Bayern Munich won't be simple either. Despite being the biggest team in the league Muani now competes in, they never appear to be concerned about losing their place in the Champions League. Sad to say, I can see Muani picking Bavaria as his next stop if he wants to be guaranteed trophies.

Kolo Muani as Victor Oshimen's alternative

Erik ten Hag, Manchester United's manager, is interested in signing Frankfurt's Randal Kolo Muani during the summer transfer window.

When the summer transfer window opens, Manchester United and Bayern Munich will compete for Kolo Muani. According to Sky Sport Germany, the Red Devils are also interested in Eintracht Frankfurt's attacker, but they now prefer a transfer for Napoli's Victor Osimhen. For Frankfurt this season, Kolo Muani has 13 goals and 12 assists while Osimhen has 21 goals for Napoli in Serie A.

Kolo Muani has already referred to Bayern as his "dream" team, but there's no assurance he'll make the switch this summer. The forward might stay, according to Markus Krosche, the sporting director at Eintracht Frankfurt. Basically, he said to Sport1, "We have no intention of giving Randal up after only one year with us this summer." He'd benefit from staying with us for another season.

Marcus Rashford has scored 29 goals across all competitions this season, leading Manchester United. When the Red Devils play Brighton in the Premier League on Thursday, he will be looking to increase his total.
