Fans are happy to have Gernacho back in the team but Wout Weghorst starts ahead of Martial

Alejandro Gernacho is back in the Match day squad. Erik Ten Hag made three changes from the side that lost 1-0 at Ammex Stadium on Thursday night.

Alejandro Gernacho who has been out for almost six weeks following an ankle injury returned to the match day squad and will be hoping to get some game time.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 West Ham XI: Fabianski, Aguerd, Cresswell, Kehrer, Ogbonna, Benrahma, Bowen, Rice, Soucek, Lucas Paquetá, Antonio
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Man Utd XI: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Shaw, Lindelöf, Malacia, Eriksen, Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, Antony, Rashford, Weghorst

Three of the final four Premier League games will be played at Old Trafford, and after a few more days of analysis of United's away performance, they are back on the road for the 18th time this season. The good news is that West Ham are in the acceptable category, while United's record away from Old Trafford falls into one of two groups.

One victory away from the top 12 has been recorded, but United has already faced six of the bottom eight opponents away from home and won all of them. Although it's a strange statistic, the record suggests that this assignment will be lot simpler than the Amex on Thursday night.

United's striker in the line-up has changed for the third straight game. Rashford is the team's finest left winger and has been the most productive member of the triumvirate. Martial is currently experiencing another slump, thus being benched in favor of Weghorst is very damning. Even though Malacia unquestionably needs a performance today, the other alterations are understandable.

Meanwhile Erik Ten Hag stated ahead of the Sunday game with West Ham.

"We have a big disadvantage [the schedule] against others. West Ham United is a team that, I think, has a worse schedule than we [do] but we showed all season already that we can deal with that. We are physically and mentally very strong."

"Top players like it, to have huge challenges, but that costs energy. That's our job, that's our responsibility. We have to take it and we lay this [defeat at Brighton] aside. On Sunday, we go again and I'm sure we will be there."
