Man United's team update as Sevilla misses two key players ahead of Europa League clash at Old Trafford

Sevilla has revealed their traveling team for the first leg of their quarterfinal Europa League match against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The team's star player is Brazil left-back Alex Telles, who is spending the entire season on loan with the Spanish team from United.

Telles is qualified to participate in both matches since, unlike in the Premier League, UEFA rules permit players to compete against their parent clubs in European competition.

Jesus Navas, a former Manchester City player who currently serves as Sevilla's captain, together with Bryan Gil, a Tottenham loanee, and Ivan Rakitic, a former Barcelona midfielder, are all expected to go with Sevilla to face United on Thursday.

For the Europa League match, the Spanish team will be without two injured players. Joan Jordan, a midfielder, and Jesus "Tecatito" Corona, a winger, are both out for this game.

Midfielder Pape Gueye is also not present because he has already competed this season for his parent club Marseille in European competition, disqualifying him from the game.

Other ex-players from the Premier League in Sevilla's lineup include former Spurs winger Erik Lamela, ex-Liverpool player Suso, and former Manchester City defender Karim Rekik.

Along with Youssef En-Nesyri, this season's leading scorer, the Argentinian World Cup-winning trio of Gonzalo Montiel, Papu Gomez, and Marcos Acuna are also in the running.

The Sevilla team as a whole is as follows: Goalkeepers: Bono, Dmitrovic, Alberto Flores
Defenders: Jesus Navas (c), Montiel, Bade, Marcao, Nianzou, Rekik, Acuna, Alex Telles
Midfielders: Gudelj, Fernando, Oliver, Rakitic (v/c)
Forwards: Ocampos, Lamela, Papu Gomez, Bryan Gil, Suso, Rafa Mir, En-Nesyri

The team for United's sixth straight Europa League match against a Spanish opponent has not yet been announced.

However, the Red Devils will have Casemiro eligible to play after serving a domestic suspension that has kept him out of action since their two-game victory over Real Betis last month. Marcus Rashford limped off the field during Saturday's 2-0 Premier League victory over Everton, raising questions about his ability to participate in the game.

The first leg will be played against Sevilla's city rivals Betis, who were defeated 4-1 at Old Trafford a month ago. Erik ten Hag and his team will be aiming for a repetition of that result. It's remarkable that we've beaten Real Sociedad (in the final match of the group stages), Barcelona, and Real Betis over two legs in our previous five matches against Spanish opposition in this season's campaign. At the moment, Sevilla is surpassed by all three of those teams in La Liga.

That night against Real Betis at Old Trafford, Marcus Rashford opened the scoring, although he is questionable for this contest after being taken off with a groin injury during Saturday's 2-0 win over Everton. "Now we have to wait for Rashford. We have [to see] what it is and how bad it is,” Ten Hag said on Saturday. “We wait for 24, 36 hours, and then we know more.”

Luke Shaw missed the victory over the Toffees because doctors were keeping an eye on his recovery from the injury he sustained against Brentford.

At the weekend, Christian Eriksen made his two-month long comeback, while Anthony Martial, who had lately overcame his own fitness concerns, netted the first goal for the Reds since early February.

For the first time since the second leg against Betis, Casemiro can take the field, but the Brazilian must proceed with caution since both he and Bruno Fernandes are only one caution away from a suspension. After the second leg of the quarterfinal, bookings are removed.

Donny van de Beek, Tom Heaton, and Alejandro Garnacho are all out due to injuries.
