Man United to face Premier League rivals in race for Rasmus Hojlund switch from Atalanta BC

Atalanta BC's striker, Rasmus Hojlund is expected to draw competition from Manchester United and Arsenal for the services of Chelsea.

The international player from Denmark only recently switched teams to Atalanta from Sturm Graz, but he has already had a big effect.

For the Italian team, Hojlund has made 26 competitive games and has eight goals and three assists to his credit. The 20-year-old, who scored five goals during the most recent international break, has also distinguished himself for his nation.

Prior to recording a brace in a 3-2 loss to Kazakhstan, Hojlund earned his first hat trick in senior football during Denmark's 3-1 victory over Finland in Euro 2024 qualifying.

Rasmus Hojlund has a deal with Atalanta through June 2027, but the Premier League is already showing interest in him.

According to a recent report, Arsenal is getting ready to offer €50 million (£44.2 million) for the Dane during the upcoming transfer season.

Wout Weghorst, a striker on loan from Manchester United, and Anthony Martial are expected to leave this summer, so the team is also seeking to strengthen its forward line.

Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen have both been mentioned, but the Red Devils have also mentioned Henrik Hojlund as a potential replacement. Arsenal and Man United will have rivalry from Premier League rivals Chelsea, according to the Daily Mail.

This summer, the Blues will acquire Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig, and talks are ongoing to bring Joao Felix, who is currently on loan from Atletico Madrid, to the club permanently. Rasmus Hojlund might be the right match for them, as they still need to add a striker who is at ease playing through the middle.

Chelsea recently invited Antonio Percassi, the chairman of Atalanta, to the second game of their Champions League matchup against Borussia Dortmund, where it was allegedly discussed whether the youngster was available.

The Chelsea proprietors would need to make yet another sizeable financial investment to acquire Hojlund, with Atalanta hoping to be paid somewhere around £60 million.

After Graham Potter was fired on Sunday, any possible move for Hojlund might need the new manager's approval.
