Man United set to replace Fred with Moroccoan star playing with Seria A outfit Fiorentina

The agent of Sofyan Amrabat insists that a transfer away from Fiorentina is still possible despite prior attention from Manchester United.

The Moroccan player, who recently had a breakout event as the African nation shocked the world by reaching the World Cup's final four, was a target for the Red Devils. The midfielder was thrust into the spotlight as a result, and Fiorentina realized they had a costly commodity on their books.

In January, several teams expressed interest, and more bids for the 26-year-old are anticipated in the summer. Due to their over-reliance on Casemiro, who they acquired from Real Madrid in the summer, United themselves are seeking to improve their options in the middle of the pitch.

The statistics clearly show how much the Brazilian is missed by the Red Devils, whose recent suspension has corresponded with a decline in performance. Although Erik ten Hag has other options in that region, few of them can provide what Casemiro does, which means that more recruits may be taken into consideration in the summer.

"We received more than one offer during the winter window," Mohamed Sinouh, Amrabat's agnet, told Kora Plus.

"Including one from Manchester United, but the negotiation was not completed. The president of Fiorentina (Rocco Commisso) absolutely refused to let him leave at that moment. He represented value for the team, especially after what he did in the World Cup.”

He went on to open the door to a move away from Florence for the £35m-rated star: “The future? At the moment we have no offers for the summer. But Fiorentina will listen to the offers. It’s a promise we got from the president after he rejected the offers in the winter transfer market.”

The Premier League tried to sign the Fiorentina star on a loan with an option to buy toward the end of the January transfer window, but their attempts were unsuccessful, Nordin Amrabat, Sofyan's older brother, previously admitted to ESPN.

Christian Eriksen, a summer acquisition who has been injured for months, cannot be used by Ten Hag. Prior to getting injured, the Dane and Casemiro had developed a strong midfield relationship. Despite being brought in on loan, Marcel Sabitzer hasn't created work of the same caliber.

Both Scott McTominay and Fred were mainstays under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but neither now commands a start and is regarded as a reserve player.

Throughout Ten Hag's first summer, United did show a lot of interest in Frenkie De Jong; however, a transfer for Amrabat might be a more practical and affordable option.
