Gabri Veiga, a playmaker for Celta Vigo and a target of Manchester United, is expected to be acquired by Arsenal.
According to Spanish publication AS (h/t Manchester Evening News), Premier League rivals Arsenal appear "set to win" the hunt for Celta Vigo playmaker Gabri Veiga, a target for Manchester United.
The Abanca-Balados team would be persuaded to sell the 20-year-old for the amount of £35 million that the La Liga team is willing to pay for him.
Veiga has been mentioned as potentially leaving Celta for some time. The Spain U21 international is a player that several Premier League teams, including the Red Devils, are keeping an eye on.
Arsenal is also considering the prospect. The playmaker's inclusion on Mikel Arteta's team will be a top priority for Edu, the North London team's sporting director.
In the current season, the Gunners are dominating. One of their talismans at number 10 has been Martin Odegaard. They also acquired FC Porto's Fabio Vieira in the offseason.
This season, Veiga has emerged into the scene. The midfielder has scored nine goals and given four assists in 32 appearances in all competitions for Celta.
In the summer of 2022, Casemiro and Christian Eriksen were added, strengthening United's midfield. With Bruno Fernandes in the middle of the pitch, the two have created an outstanding trifecta for the Red Devils.
Erik ten Hag has relied heavily on the Portugal international ever since he took over as manager of the Old Trafford team. The former Sporting CP star has been utilized by the Dutch boss in places other than attacking midfield during the current season.
Veiga is a rising star with tremendous potential. United has a solid midfield, but it seems like we could still use some additional talent on the bench. The Red Devils appear to lose out on signing the 20-year-old to Arsenal, though.
Manchester United scouts 19 year old Salzburg striker
According to 90min (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United'sent scouts' to observe Benjamin Sesko play for Red Bull Salzburg versus SK Sturm Graz over the weekend.
At the Liebenauer Stadium, Matthias Jaissle's team faced the Styrian club. The Slovenian national team scored, and the Austrian Bundesliga champions prevailed 2-0.
One of football's most promising young players, the 19-year-old is gaining interest from several teams across Europe. The striker will, for the time being, go to RB Leipzig at the end of the current campaign.
The German team and Salzburg reached an agreement in 2022 for the signing of Sesko in the 2023 summer. However, other teams are still interested in signing the youngster. One of the teams with which the striker has previously been associated is the Red Devils.
The Slovenian player rose through the Austrian team's youth systems before making his debut in the previous season. The 19-year-old has gotten stronger and stronger this semester.
Sesko's ability to score goals has increased in the 2022–23 campaign. The forward has made 36 appearances for Salzburg across all leagues, scoring 16 goals and dishing out three assists.
Marcus Rashford has praised United's offensive throughout the current season. All of our forwards—aside from the England international—have struggled to make a significant impact in the closing third.
Anthony Martial has a history of injuries at position nine, while Burnley's Wout Weghorst is on loan to the Old Trafford team through the end of the current campaign.
Therefore, it is obvious that our front line needs some reinforcements. Sesko needs a lot of work and is still in his infancy. But the 19-year-old has demonstrated that he is capable of at least becoming a reserve for the Manchester-based team.
Meanwhile, Kim Min-jae, a defender for Napoli, is apparently up for grabs, and Manchester City and rival Manchester United are reportedly in a bidding war.
The 26-year-old, known as "The Monster," is thought to have a £40 million release clause and is drawing a lot of interest.
Since joining the Serie A leaders from Fenerbahce for £15 million last summer to replace Kalidou Koulibaly, Min-jae has established himself as one of the top center backs in Italy.
But after only a year, he might already be moving on, according to The Sun, which claims that both Manchester clubs are interested in the South Korean international.
The news source also states that Pep Guardiola is a major fan of the defender, who is rumored to be interested in joining the Premier League.
At the back for City, there are Ruben Dias, John Stones, Nathan Ake, Manuel Akanji, and Aymeric Laporte; however, the latter's future is doubtful because of his slide down the hierarchy.
This season, Stones and Ake have also been utilized as inverted full-backs, indicating there is room for a third center-back.
Min-jae, who has played 30 times for Napoli across all leagues, had previously been connected to both Liverpool and Tottenham.
