Man United issued Joao Felix's advice as Fabrizio Romano confirms that £44.6 million transfer is happening

Manchester United has been advised to sign Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix before Chelsea.

Felix was acquired by the Blues on loan during the winter transfer window for a cost of €11 million. On his Fulham debut, the Portuguese player was both at his best and worst as he controlled the game until being sent out for an aggressive challenge.

Joao Felix recently signed a new contract, but his long-term future in the Spanish capital is still up in the air. According to rumors, Diego Simeone, the manager of Atletico Madrid, and the 23-year-old do not get along. Simeone is one person you do not want to cross.

With nine games left, Chelsea is currently in the bottom half of the domestic standings due to their poor domestic play this year.

At Stamford Bridge, Felix has displayed flashes of brilliance, but he hasn't been able to end Chelsea's goal-scoring woes.

In 2019, Atletico spent about €127 million to sign Felix from Benfica, and they apparently don't want to let him go for a much lesser price.

This has turned away Chelsea and Manchester United, who are both looking to add a striker before the summer transfer season.

Before deciding to sign Wout Weghorst on loan in January, the Red Devils were considering signing the former Benfica prodigy. Erik ten Hag has been instructed to sign Joao Felix from Atletico Madrid before the summer transfer window closes.

Gabby Agbonlahor, a former striker for Aston Villa, talked passionately concerning the Portuguese international, saying that he "would be a good signing" for Manchester United.

Agbonlahor criticized Manchester United's current forwards and made it plain that Ten Hag needs to make significant investments in that position. “I really like what he’s done so far,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider.

“I’ve seen a different side to him at Chelsea. At Atletico, he was playing too deep and wasn’t suited to how they play."

“At Chelsea, you see him getting on the ball, twisting past players – and he’s got a bit of pace as well. I really like him, but he’s got to be more clinical."

“I don’t see any reason why Man United can’t get him. They need options if they’re in the Champions League next season."

“Martial isn’t good enough, nor is Weghorst – scrap them. Antony and Sancho haven’t been great, so you’re talking about Rashford as their only threat."

“They need help, or it could be an embarrassing time in the Champions League for them. Felix, for me, would be a good signing for them.”

At the end of the season, Man Utd is anticipated to spend a lot of money on a new No. 9. Ten Hag's top objective is to sign a striker, although he also wants to sign another central midfielder.

Many strikers are rumored to be interested in moving to Old Trafford. According to reports in Spain, the Red Devils have "asked" about Robert Lewandowski of Barcelona's availability.

Randal Kolo Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt "wants to leave" this summer, according to Sky Germany correspondent Florian Plettenberg, but doing so will cost at least €100 million.

Meanwhile, According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, full-back Jeremie Frimpong of Bayer Leverkusen is a target for Manchester United and is 'eager' on moving to Old Trafford during the forthcoming summer transfer window.

Over the past few months, the 22-year-old's name has been associated with a transfer to the Red Devils. At first, it was believed that the Dutchman may eventually succeed Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who found it difficult to play regularly for the first team during the early part of this season.

However, it was thought that Man Utd wanted to keep Wan-Bissaka and would reduce their interest in Frimpong as a result of the Englishman's recent comeback.

The Leverkusen star has been constantly linked with a move to Old Trafford before the summer transfer window, suggesting that United may be seriously contemplating signing Frimpong at the end of this campaign.

Romano said in a tweet that Man Utd and the player's agents had already been discussing a potential summer transfer and that the full-back is "keen" to work with Erik ten Hag.

The Italian journalist goes on to say that Diogo Dalot's future will not be impacted by the Frimpong transaction because United and the Portuguese have been in communication regarding a new, long-term contract, and the Red Devils are already preparing for the upcoming season with both players in the lineup.

However, Romano claims that Bayern Munich and Barcelona would provide stiff obstacles in the way of any potential move for Frimpong, as the two European powerhouses are both planning a bid for the defender.

“Jeremie Frimpong, keen on Manchester United possible move — not advanced yet as his agent met with Man Utd, FC Bayern and Barcelona. Interest in Frimpong doesn’t change the situation of Diogo Dalot at this stage as new long-term contract talks are still ongoing," Romano wrote on his Twitter handle.

More than two years are still left on Jeremy Frimpong's current deal. In order to let their top player leave this summer, Leverkusen is in a strong position to demand a high fee, and they are asking for at least £40 million.

According to recent reports, Manchester United is in a strong position to sign Frimpong and is willing to match the German club's asking price.

In spite of Wan-Bissaka's recent good performances, it seems Ten Hag isn't persuaded by his qualities. Therefore, if United sign Frimpong at the end of this season, the 25-year-old may be allowed to leave because it is quite improbable that Man Utd will keep three right backs the following year.
