Man United fans reacts after teammates celebrates Christian Eriksen's return on Instagram

In Manchester United's victory over Everton, Christian Eriksen finally returned to the field after a lengthy absence. With United leading 2-0, the Dane came off the bench for the final 13 minutes against Everton. Christan Eriksen was introduced to rousing cheers from the Old Trafford crowd as he made his first appearance since January.

Only a few days previously, he had been seen for the first time back in training. Being listed on the bench alone was a step forward, and getting into the field was even better. Christian Eriksen was making his triumphant comeback for the first time since Andy Carroll scythed him down during Manchester United's FA Cup victory over Reading in the fourth round.

This week, manager Erik ten Hag revealed that he initially thought he had lost Eriksen for the entire season. He is now available for the FA Cup semifinal that will take place later this month.

Following his comeback, Eriksen wrote on Instagram, receiving praise from his Manchester United teammates Lisandro Martinez, David de Gea, Victor Lindelof, and Casemiro.

Kyle Walker-Peters, a former teamate of his at Tottenham, also left a comment, saying: "What a player!"

Fans as well reacted to the 31 year old return on social media with many beautiful comments but still pointed out at Marcus Rashford's injury which soured the routine Sunday afternoon victory.

"Great to see you back Christian ... n Martial too...
Sad news is we may lose Marcus to injury.. he looked bad ..
Anyway job well done Boys.. 3 points
Glory Glory Man United," a fan commented

"Midfield stable for now. I guess Garnacho and Rashford injured still remains a great concern," another opined.

"Great to see him back. All his passes accurately aim. He is the important point who we missed. Welcome back, Eriksen," another fan commented.

Manchester United's manager Erik Ten Hag had already stressed during his press conference on Friday afternoon ahead of the Red Devils welcoming Everton to Old Trafford that Christian Eriksen and Casemiro's return to the team will boost his side's chances of finishing top four as well as coveting yet another trophy.

"It is obvious and clear they are two very valuable players for us," Ten Hag said of the duo at a press conference.

"We all know how important the midfield department is. Over several games, we had to find a new balance and that is not easy at this stage of the season."

"We are in the right spot and we are competing for the top-four of the Premier League, the quarter-final of the Europa League and semi-final of the FA Cup."

"We have already won a cup, so we have to make it a really successful season. We have a great squad, so I am really positive to get a good final stage of the season and even more silverware," he explained.

Eriksen may get the start for Manchester United this week in the quarterfinal of the Europa League, but a more conservative strategy would be to bring him back in as a substitute.

After serving a ban, Casemiro can play again if United wins three of the games he missed and loses one.
