Loan Watch: Maxi Oyedele scores for Altrincham as Amad Diallo gets the winner in Sunderland's comeback

While playing on loan for Altrincham in the National League, Maxi Oyedele, a Manchester United prospect, has kept up his impressive play. The midfielder, who joined the team on loan for the second half of the season, scored his fourth goal in 11 games for the team.

In the eighth minute, Oyedele took advantage of a defensive blunder by Dorking and coolly slid the ball home to give his team a 2-0 lead.

Maxi Oyedele is one of the many young players on loan at United, but he has been one of the more productive ones this year. The Polish under-19 international's confidence will soar after making an impression in Altrincham's midfield.

Oyedele has performed admirably at the National League level, therefore Erik ten Hag might want to send him out on loan once more—this time, perhaps to a higher-level league—because of how well he has done. He will probably appear on the summer tour, giving him a chance to attract Ten Hag's attention.

The 18-year-old was a member of the Manchester United FA Youth Cup winning team the previous year. So it is amazing to see him going up to men’s football with such ease. He received accolades from Altrincham's boss last week for his leadership abilities as well. demonstrating that he is leaving a lasting impression.

Amad Diallo scores in Sunderland's comeback

Sunderland defeated Birmingham 2-1, and Amad Diallo's second-half goal gave them a significant advantage in their pursuit of the Championship play-offs.

George Hall gave the Blues the lead, but Trai Hume equalized before halftime. In the 76th minute, Diallo's low finish was all that was needed for the Black Cats, who were later reduced to 10 men after Dennis Cirkin was sent off after receiving a second yellow card.

The Black Cats are currently just one point behind the top six and narrowly outside the play-off places, sitting in ninth place.Alex Pritchard had a terrific opportunity from close range to put the hosts in ahead in the fourth minute, but Birmingham did well to clear. Patrick Roberts had the first opportunity in the opening minutes, but goalkeeper John Ruddy made an easy save.

Despite Sunderland's early advantage, the Blues gave Anthony Patterson his first real test as the goalkeeper produced a low save to stop Tahith Chong in the 19th minute.

A beautiful move on the right saw Juninho Bacuna cut in from the outside of the box, but his low cross was cleared from a crowded six-yard area as Birmingham started to apply more pressure.

Another strong period led to Bacuna breaking down the middle, finding Chong on the right, and the winger squared the ball for Hall to tuck home from the middle of the box in the 29th minute.

Dan Neil had the finest chance after his long-range shot from the edge of the box was deflected behind as Sunderland sought an equalizer, forcing Birmingham to respond well to a series of home corners.

Three minutes into stoppage time, a well-executed corner from Pritchard found Hume free at the back post, and the Black Cats were rewarded. He scored with a header, bringing Sunderland even going into halftime.

After Chong demonstrated his speed by running down the left to pass the ball to Jobe Bellingham, Birmingham came out strong in the second half. However, Patterson made a good save, and Ruddy was able to stop Pritchard.

Sunderland had a terrific opportunity when replacement Joe Gelhardt threaded the ball through to Roberts, but he chipped the ball over the bar in a one-on-one situation with Ruddy. The game then erupted into life.

A low attempt from Lukas Jutkiewicz was quickly blocked by Patterson at the other end, and Ruddy then made a strong stretch to stop Jack Clarke's header. After being found on the right flank by Clarke's superb cross-field ball in the 76th minute, Amad Diallo scored the game-winning goal by cutting into the area and shooting into the bottom left corner for his 12th goal of the year.

The Black Cats' joy soon turned to disappointment as Cirkin was sent after only two minutes for fouling Chong, but they managed to hold on and secure the three points.
