(Video) 25 year old revelation about Benni McCarthy has just hit the internet

A shocking revelation about Manchester United's first-team coach and former South African attacker Benni McCarthy has hit the internet.

The details about the former prolific forward, who is currently a member of Erik Ten Hag's coaching staff, have emerged, and it has been claimed that the South African legend used to be a rapper in his hustle days and was featured by TKZee on a 25-year-old goofy track named "Shibobo."

Benni McCarthy eventually went on to have a great football career, and his major success as a player was when he won the Portuguese Primeira Liga and UEFA Champions League with FC Porto in the 2003/2004 campaign. He also won the top scorer's award in the Portuguese Premier League that same season.

He played for Blackburn Rovers and had spells at Celta Vigo, FC Ajax, and West Ham during his stint across Europe. He announced his retirement from football in 2013 at the age of 35 while playing with South African giants the Orlando Pirates.

Benni McCarthy is the South African record goal scorer in international football; he has scored 31 goals for Bafana Bafana. He went on to acquire his coaching badge while being an assistant coach at Sint-Truiden and then as head coach at Cape Town City.

He enjoyed huge success while coaching Amazulu FC. After he was named coach with the South African club, he took them to a second-place finish in the DSTV Premier League in the 2020/21 campaign, the highest and best league finish in the club's history, and also led them to their CAF Champions League debut the following campaign.

He was appointed head team coach at Manchester United in July 2022 as part of Erik ten Hag's staff. The South African has allegedly been praised for his role in helping Marcus Rashford find his best goal-scoring touch this season.

Manchester United have progressed massively this campaign and have coveted a trophy to back their resurging form on the pitch. They are currently in the Europa League and FA Emirates Cup while in a good position for a top four finish in the Premier League and securing a spot in next campaign's UEFA champions league.
