Preston North Ryan Lowe hints at Man United's loanee, Alvaro Fernández future

Preston North's manager, Ryan Lowe, has indicated that Manchester United's loanee, Alvaro Fernández,'s future would soon be decided in a round table talk with the Old Trafford outfit.

Alvaro Fernández's future, along with that of Everton loanee Tom Cannon, will be decided by the parties involved, as Preston North are hoping to retake the duo on another loan stint during the 2023-2024 campaign, as reported by PNE.

Both have had an impressive season so far, with Manchester United's Alvaro Fernández nailing down a regular starting spot at left back while also featuring as a wing back and an attacker.

Preston North manager Ryan Lowe believes that a conversation will take place soon amongst all parties involved, but he refused to ascertain if the players would be back for yet another loan stint with the Championship club.

"We haven't gotten that far as of yet," said Lowe last weekend. "There are still games to go and the season is not finished.  We want to try and finish as high as we possibly can, and we are going to go through bumps in the road, as most teams do. We will sit down and have a review with Man United and all of the loan players' (clubs)," he stated in an interview.

"We will see what they think, what we think, and then, if there's an opportunity to do something with the loan lads who are with us and doing well, then why wouldn't you?"

"But, it's not always the case." We've just got to make sure we've got our irons in the fire for different things, whether it is wing-backs, strikers, or midfielders. But yeah, Alvaro has performed well along with the rest of them.

Ryan Lowe gave specific details about a potential return to the championship side next season for Manchester United's left back Alvaro Fernández; he edified the former Real Madrid academy player and stressed how impressive he has been this campaign.

"He's definitely coming on and getting better," he added.

"Each game and training session, he is learning." "He's self-taught with English, and that's what we need—he needs to listen to make sure he is performing."

"He's keeping a top international player out of the team at the moment in Robbie Brady." And he has got to keep those standards high. "His performances have been excellent and long," he explained.
While it's yet to be decided if the 19-year-old will be on another loan stint away from Old Trafford next campaign, the progress made by the Spaniard with Preston North this campaign could have drawn Erik Ten Hag's attention ahead of Manchester United's summer transfer plans.
