Man United reportedly step up Marcus Rashford and De Gea's contract talks as Luke Shaw agrees to terms

According to talkSPORT, Luke Shaw has decided to accept a new four-year contract with Manchester United. After the defender's contract was extended, United will try to move the contract negotiations with David de Gea and Marcus Rashford along quickly.

Erik ten Hag has had success with Luke Shaw, who has played 29 games in all competitions. In addition, United has rewarded him for his strong play with one goal and six assists this season. The left back has consented to sign a long-term contract with the Red Devils that will last until the summer of 2027.

The current contract for the defender, which was extended in December, ends in the summer of 2019. The 27-year-old, who moved to Old Trafford from Southampton in 2014, is expected to stay at Old Trafford for more than ten years.

Following the signing of Shaw's new contract, United may decide to prolong the contracts of a number of their star players in the upcoming months.

De Gea, meanwhile, declined the club's initial offer of a new deal. Both sides, though, remain optimistic that they can work out a deal to extend his stay. In order to secure a longer contract, De Gea has also been requested to accept a pay cut on a weekly basis.

Marcus Rashford is in advanced negotiations to ink a new long-term contract. Rashford has scored 27 goals for United this season. He referred to as "nonsense" reports that he is seeking a salary of £500,000 per week.
