Man United eyes 20 year old RB Salzburg right back, Amar Dedic as plans for summer transfer emerge

It appears Manchester United could have plans for their right back position in next summer's transfer window, despite the performances of Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka at the position.

90 Minutes claims that the Red Devils are monitoring 20-year-old RB Salzburg right back Amar Dedic. The Bosnian international has drawn attention from big teams across Europe with his impressive display this season with the Austrian giants.

Amar Dedic has been with RB Salzburg since 2015, and he has gathered experience with loan stints while moving up the ranks with the Austrian side. The 20-year-old didn't leave for any loan stints at the start of this campaign and has impressed so far in the Austrian league.

The Bosnian international has managed to nail down a regular starting berth at RB Salzburg this season. He has made five goal contributions in 27 appearances across all competitions while making perfect tackles and impressive overlapping runs on the right side.

Manchester United scouts have been sent to watch the 20-year-old this season, as his impressive displays couldn't go unnoticed. Erik Ten Hag's side has also identified the player as a potential target ahead of the next summer transfer window.

In the meantime, Erik ten Hag has excelled at the organization. They are on track to compete in the European Champions League again next year. Manchester United has also highlighted a few areas where they need to improve if they want to contend for both the Premier League and the Champions League championship.

A replacement right back is needed, according to the Dutch manager. He wishes to bolster his team with a second attacking right-back. The defensive-minded full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka hasn't particularly pleased Ten Hag. Given the uncertainty surrounding Wan-Bissaka's future at the organization, Ten Hag wishes to bring in Dedic, who is a little more attacking.

The present Red Bull Salzburg contract with Dedic expires in the summer of 2027. If they get paid well for the 20-year-old, they might let him go, though. The Red Devils are eager for him to join the team and are prepared to pay to find a solution for their right-back problems.

Given the interest from other teams, it will be intriguing to see if they are able to sign him to Old Trafford. Manchester United has shown interest in Jeremie Frimpong and other right-backs in the meantime.
