Liverpool's manager Jurgen Klopp has issued his side a warning about Marcus Rashford and Manchester United when they welcome Erik Ten Hag's side to Anfield on Sunday.
Fresh off their Carabao Cup success and Marcus Rashford banging in goals for fun this season, Jurgen Klopp has admitted Manchester United have been a better side this season and has branded them a "result machine" while singling out Marcus Rashford for praise due to his goalscoring exploits this season.
Erik Ten Hag's side have won eight of their last 11 Premier League games and are sitting in third place on the Premier League table, while Marcus Rashford has netted 25 goals with nine assists in 39 appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils this season.
While the rivalry between the two most successful English clubs will be renewed on Sunday, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers admitted that Marcus Rashford is on a superb goalscoring run.
"It's impossible to be happy about something positive at Manchester United when you are Liverpool manager, but I am really happy for Rashford," Klopp stated during his press conference on Friday.
"He had a very difficult year last year when he was not performing on the level he could, and I knew this would change again, although sometimes you don't have the time to change, but he has changed it."
"He is playing incredible." His technique, his speed—a mix of everything "How calm he is in front of goal—he scores worldies, simple ones, headers."
"We played before against world-class players, and we have to defend collectively, and he is not the only decisive player."
Jurgen Klopp, however, claimed his players will be prepared for Erik Ten Hag's side, whom he stated will continue to impress as the season progresses.
"They won the League Cup." It is a wonderful feeling, but there is no time to celebrate. "You play a few days later, so you have to be ready again and again," he added.
"It has nothing to do with us (their race for the quadruple)." "They've done really well this year and have turned into a results machine."
"They squeeze results out of very good performances, and if it is not going well, they still squeeze results out." "They are fully in the fight for winning the league, but it is not really important for Sunday because we will try to be at our best."
"They have had a better season so far, but thank God it means absolutely nothing on Sunday. "We have to make sure we show it is still incredibly difficult to play against us." "We have to make sure they realize that."
"I couldn't be less interested in what Manchester United are doing; I just respect it," he explained.
Manchester United will be looking to keep themselves closer to league leaders Arsenal, who are 11 points ahead of them, but Manchester United have a game in hand.
