Gary Pallister sends transfer warning to Marcus Rashford, encourages Harry Maguire to keep fighting

Former Manchester United star Gary Pallister has sent a transfer warning and advice to Manchester United's duo of Marcus Rashford and Harry Maguire.

Amid speculation of a possible exit from Old Trafford for Marcus Rashford, who is heavily linked with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, Gary Pallister has reminded the England international that "the grass isn't always greener on the other side."

Marcus Rashford has been in sensational form this season, especially since his return from the World Cup tournament in Qatar. The 25-year-old has netted 25 goals and assisted eight more in 40 appearances for Erik Ten Hag's side this season.

He has managed to banish his demons from the previous campaign, which saw him score just five times in over 30 games under Ralf Ragnick and Ole Solskjaer.

Manchester United have been reported to be working hard towards ensuring the club's management and the player's representative reach an agreement over a new contract for the 25-year-old. His current contract expires in 2024 and would leave Manchester United in deep waters if he fails to pen a new deal by next summer.

The PSG chairman has already teased and hinted that the French giants would love the English attacker at the French capital whilst offering him a mouthwatering deal last January.  But Gary Pallister has warned Marcus Rashford to be careful with his decisions about his next career move.

“Rashford’s put himself in a position where there are a lot of European clubs looking at him,” he told Betting Sites.

“He’s sorted his life out away from football because perhaps there was too much going on which muddied the water.  I wouldn’t say he owes it to the club to sign but every Man Utd fan wants to see him stay."

"My gut feeling is that he will sign but if he’s thinking otherwise I’d say be careful, because the grass isn’t always greener," he stated.

Harry Maguire is another Manchester United star the former Red Devils player has a word for, but this time it's some words of encouragement for the club's captain, who has lost his place in the team under Erik Ten Hag. He has been tipped to leave Old Trafford and was linked with a move to Inter Milan last January. Premier League rivals Chelsea were reportedly interested in the 29-year-old as well.

“It’s a tough situation." "Harry did well in the Euros and World Cup for England, and it’s tough when people are shooting you down,” Pallister added.

“I had it in my time, and you feel very isolated." It’s been a tough year, but I don’t know how he feels about not being involved in the big games. "After just seeing his side concede seven, maybe he’ll be feeling he’ll get a chance on Thursday, but either way, he has a big choice to make this summer on whether he stays or not.
