Erik Ten Hag set to bring in new striker earlier in the next summer transfer window

Erik ten Hag, the boss of Manchester United, has given the team until early this summer to find a top striker.

Striker was a key role United need a long-term solution for. After Cristiano Ronaldo left at the conclusion of the previous year, the need for a replacement is even more urgent than it was in 2021.

Wout Weghorst is yet another bridging solution. Manchester United needs a premier goal maker that the team can develop around for many years. Naturally, this should be a top priority. ESPN report Erik ten Hag has set an early timetable for a deal.

Erik ten Hag reportedly wants a deal for a top center-forward to be completed before the team's preseason trip of the United States, according to ESPN. The team will visit the United States in July, according to a statement released by United earlier this month. Currently, one matchup with Wrexham has been scheduled.

It is very logical for Ten Hag to contract his striker before the tour. From a tactical and team-building standpoint, it will assist the manager in integrating the player into the group.

ESPN had previously reported that Manchester United may shift its attention to other areas if Tottenham drags out a deal for Harry Kane until the August deadline.

During Erik ten Hag's first summer as manager in 2022, United did want to make moves quickly. However, it didn’t really turn out this way.

Only Tyrell Malacia, one of the six players signed last summer, was able to join the team in time for the club's preseason trip of Thailand and Australia.

Without success, Manchester United had devoted weeks to Frenkie de Jong, delaying the rest of the transfer market and contributing to a bad start to the season with two early losses.

Erik Ten Hag will work especially hard to prevent a recurrence. Prior to the tour last summer, he had only been employed by United for a few short weeks, so there was little time for preparation. This time, the Red Devils have had months to coordinate a plan and plan together for the summer of 2023.

When it comes to a transfer window, "normal circumstances" are uncommon at Manchester United. The second summer of Erik ten Hag ought to be more tranquil than the first.

But because of the club's ongoing takeover, 2023 will present its own difficulties. Nobody currently knows who will own the club by the time of the transfer window.

The club's budget and plan might be affected by this. The arrival of new proprietors by May would be advantageous. But we can't even say for sure that there will be any new proprietors.

Erik ten Hag's early deadline might be missed if the takeover procedure drags on into July or even August. Ten Hag made a wise decision by insisting that his top target be signed in time for the trip. We'll have to wait and see whether this actually happens.
