"The fans gave him love"- Erik Ten Hag is delighted with Old Trafford's reaction of Jadon Sancho's return

Manchester United welcomed Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial back to the team after both stars had to spend some time on the sidelines following some injury woes.

Anthony Martial celebrated his return by scoring Manchester United's opener, while Jadon Sancho enjoyed the night as much as he could have wanted.

Manchester United were still hell-bent on finding a goal after 60 minutes of play at Old Trafford as Nottingham Forest showed their gritty side. Erik Ten Hag had to bring in the attacking trio of Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, and Jadon Sancho. The move paid off as Manchester United scored 10 minutes later through Anthony Martial's goal before putting the game to bed following Marcus Rashford setting up Fred's goal.

The team and the fans have undeniably missed Jadon Sancho's presence on the team. Even Erik Ten Hag once stated in an interview that he wished he could take the laws into his own hands and bring the player back into the conversation.

The player's physical fitness and mental health were put into serious consideration after he was in and out of the team due to injury this season. He was also having a hard time dealing with the criticism he was receiving from the press and club fans following his inability to replicate his Bundesliga for

After being out for about two months, the player's much anticipated return was brought to an end after Erik Ten Hag announced during his press conference prior to Wednesday night's game that Jadon Sancho, alongside Anthony Martial, will be available when Nottingham Forest comes to visit at Old Trafford.

Excitement was what met Manchester United's matchday squad, which included the 22-year-old winger. Old Trafford erupted when the player, alongside Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford, stepped on to the pitch side as they prepared to be subbed on for the Red Devils.

Erik Ten Hag couldn't hide his happiness as he kept giving the winger pats on the back and smiling while Jadon Sancho clapped for Antony Santos, who came off for him. The player slotted into the number 10 position, moving Bruno Fernandes to the rest right wing. He had a brilliant game and was involved in the build-up to Manchester United's second goal.

Erik Ten Hag was glad with the reception the player received when he got subbed on to the game and indicated how impressed he was with the player and hopes he keeps threading on a positive note.

"I thought it was great; the fans gave him love, and I think he enjoyed it," he explained.

"He enjoyed being back on the pitch." I've seen him smile in the last couple of weeks at Carrington, and I hope he can keep the process going and have a huge contribution to the season.

The manager also threw some insight on how he plans to utilize the 22-year-old's abilities after he has returned to the tea

"With Jadon, I know he can play as a no. 10 as well; he can play as a winger; he can play as a no. 10. But I think we mix it around often, and that is what I like. But the position has to be occupied; it is about that. "And players have to keep the discipline to do that; otherwise, it is going to be a mess," he explained.

The manager also addressed his side's hectic schedule. The manager has to deal with a number of injuries and players' absences, which could have adverse effects on the team's progress, but the manager has stated it is an advantage to his side.

"It's an advantage." You can improve from game to game. "You can have a lot you can give the players feedback on," he explained.

"We set the standards and work on improvements, and we can really show the players where we have to improve and bring it to the next game."

"This [the fixture list] is a luxury problem, but it is how we want it." Also, I think it is normal for a club like Manchester United to play every third day, and we have to deal with that. But we are looking forward. Most players are more keen on playing games than training. "So, for us, we have to make every next game a better game than the previous one."
