Steve Bates- 'Erik Ten Hag and Man United are reportedly set for summer sale clear out.'

While the transition to new ownership for Manchester United is ongoing, Erik ten Hag will need to make room in his roster in order to sign players like Declan Rice and Harry Kane.

With Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire, and Antony Martial leading a summer squad clear out, Manchester United is gearing up for a high sale next summer.

According to Steve Bates of Mirror.uk, Erik ten Hag, the club's manager, is already planning his summer offensive in anticipation of the impending announcement of new investors and the Glazer family's reported progress toward selling the club for £6 billion.

And as he presses forward with his plans to make United a force once more, the ruthless Dutch manager Ten Hag is prepared to make room for significant new arrivals by letting the trio go.

As Ten Hag follows through with his intention to reshape the Old Trafford roster and bring in his own stars, they will be joined by loaned first team players Alex Telles and Eric Bailly as well as disappointing midfielder Donny van de Beek.

When he started working at United last summer, ten Hag told the club's board that he would require at least two and probably three summers to carry out his plan to bring big titles back to the team.

And that will mean the end for England international club's captain Maguire, who turns 30 next month. He joined in 2019 for a transfer record fee of £80 million from Leicester.

Maguire's role has been diminished to that of a supporting actor because World Cup champions Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez Ten Hag have been selected as the first choice center defenders.

With Maguire acknowledging he must move on in order to protect his international career, United believes the moment is appropriate to let him go.

The club would look to off-load French forward Martial in the summer, especially if they decide Mason Greenwood can be reintegrated into their team, because Martial hasn't persuaded Ten Hag that he's the striker to lead United's assault.

Since Casemiro and Christian Eriksen arrived, Scott McTominay has been the midfielder who has suffered the most because the Scotland star is frequently deployed as a replacement.

The 26-year-old academy graduate is unhappy by this, but there will be plenty of suitors given West Ham's interest in signing the United star should Declan Rice depart this summer.

Given that Ten Hag plans to take a tough stance with some players this summer, McTominay's future clubs could potentially include Everton, Fulham, and Aston Villa.
