Three Premier League clubs lining up for Marcel Sabitzer's signature as United stall transfer decision

Tottenham Hotspur's interest is delaying Manchester United's efforts to recruit Marcel Sabitzer.

According to Florian Plettenberg, this summer, Bayern Munich is seeking roughly £22 million for Marcel Sabitzer, who is on loan to Manchester United.

According to Sky Germany reporter Plettenberg, Bayern has established their asking price for Sabitzer at roughly €25 million (£22 million).

According to Plettenberg, Manchester United is still interested in hiring Sabitzer on a long-term basis.

Late in the January transfer window, the Red Devils pounced to sign Sabitzer on loan, but the agreement includes no buyout clause.

Although Plettenberg claims that there has been 'no development' in negotiations over a trade, Bayern do appear eager to sell. That's because United's ownership position is still up in the air, and they don't seem to be moving through with a transaction until a takeover becomes more likely.

That makes it possible for other teams to make a move, and Tottenham Hotspur might be one of them.

Tottenham reportedly entered the competition to sign Sabitzer in April, according to The Daily Star.

Apparently feeling that Manchester United would be dragging its feet, Aston Villa and West Ham United were also suggested.

In particular, if they choose a manager like Arne Slot, who demands great technical prowess in his engine room, Tottenham are going to need more midfield quality this summer.

We have caught glimpses of Sabitzer's ability to produce both excellence on the ball and intensity off it while wearing a Manchester United jersey.

Tottenham will have to decide if they want a player like Sabitzer or someone for the future; much will rely on a new manager. Sabitzer would be a player for an immediate effect at 29.

Spurs will be eagerly observing these United developments if they are truly interested in Sabitzer.

The Rumors on Marcel Sabitzer staying in the Premier League

Marcel Sabitzer will cost Manchester United at least £30 million to secure on a long-term basis, according to Daily Star.

Following his successful loan stint at Old Trafford, Bayern Munich will now seek that amount as a minimum for the 29-year-old Austrian midfielder.

Due to the tight timeframe and lack of opportunity for error in the deal, United decided not to negotiate an option to purchase Sabitzer outright in the summer when he signed on loan from them.

Sabitzer was then rated by German powerhouse Bayern at £20 million. But since then, his value has increased as a result of his frequent impressive performances and crucial contribution to Erik ten Hag's United team, which helped the Red Devils defeat Newcastle United at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final in February.

Sabitzer was a favorite of United supporters even before his first-half double in the first leg of the Europa League last-eight match against holders Sevilla on Thursday.

It's debatable whether or not his 11 outings to date have convinced Ten Hag that he should solely serve as Christian Eriksen's backup in case of injury.

Time will tell whether Sabitzer has done enough to persuade Ten Hag to keep him in the team ahead of the Denmark international and possibly make a permanent swoop over the coming months, especially with Eriksen returning to the United side after the ankle injury he sustained in the FA Cup victory over Reading back in January.

But even if the Dutch manager of the Reds chooses against making the move permanently, Bayern anticipate a lot of interest from other Premier League teams.

In front of the transfer market, Aston Villa, West Ham, and Tottenham are among those keeping an eye on the issue after observing how quickly Sabitzer adjusted to the intense tempo of the English elite.
