Europe elites submits bid for Manchester United's transfer target

Marcus Thuram, Borussia Monchengladbach's striker, who is also a transfer target for United, has received bids from Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan, according to L'Equipe.

Thuram's Gladbach contract expires on June 30, making him a free agent this summer. The adaptable forward has chosen not to extend his contract with the Bundesliga team and will now be available, with numerous elite clubs vying for his signature.

According to the report, Thuram is coveted by United, AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, and Inter, as well as an unidentified German team.

The 25-year-old, who has 16 goals across all competitions, has already received contract offers from Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, and the German club, among the aforementioned teams.

Marcus Thuram's associations with Atletico Madrid are not new. Since Alvaro Morata's future is uncertain, the Rojiblancos have been expressing interest in the French international for some time and could use a player like him in their lineup.

As a result, they have already taken action by contacting Thuram with a contract proposal.

According to the report, Thuram has not yet made a decision and has two requirements to meet before deciding on his future club.

The team must, first and foremost, be in contention for the league championship and, secondly, they must be strong enough to contend in the UEFA Champions League.

Although Atletico Madrid is very certain to earn a spot in the Champions League this year, they haven't been as competitive in recent years when it comes to contending for the championship. But it must be kept in mind that, in the second half of this season, the Colchoneros have been among the best Spanish teams.

Diego Simeone and co. will have to move quickly in their pursuit of him because other elite clubs like Manchester United, AC Milan, and Inter are also in the running.
