"They don't want to win trophies"- Gift Orban aims dig at Arsenal amid Man United's link

Sensational goal scorer Gift Orban, who has been linked to Manchester United, has declared his desire to play in the Premier League.

The Nigerian striker has only been at his current club Gent since January, but after scoring 20 goals in as many games, he has already drawn interest from other elite clubs.

United, who are in desperate need of a goal striker, is one of them, as The Peoples Person revealed earlier in the week.

Man United have created 32 fewer goals than Arsenal this season despite having more high-quality scoring opportunities created than Arsenal.

“At a club where I feel comfortable and where I play,” he added. “The Premier League is my ultimate dream. Manchester United, Liverpool or Manchester City."

“I don’t really like Arsenal that much – it’s like they don’t want to win titles."

“They play and sell players – that’s it. I want to go somewhere where they win prizes. At Real Madrid they don’t have time for tiki-taka, there they just grab titles.”

It appears that this summer, Orban won't be taking calls from the Gunners.

It could be wise to sign a player who would likely be bought as a substitute for a top striker given the high price tags attached to players like Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane.

Gift Orban scored his 20th goal of the season for Gent against Cercle Brugge on Saturday, continuing his extraordinary level of consistency at the top level of European sport.

The Nigerian equalized the score for the Buffalos in the four-goal thriller at the Ghelamco Arena after Togo international Kevin Denkey gave the visitors the lead after 18 minutes. Four minutes into the second half, Orban placed the ball beyond Radosaw Majecki after being set up by Andrew Hjulsager.

The 20-year-old has scored six goals in his last four league games, giving him 20 goals overall.

This statistic demonstrates the Nigerian's incredible level of durability, who is still going strong. He is poised to make a significant move next season as a result of his great start to life at Gent. He is also a strong candidate to win the Caf Young Player of the Year title.

On the fourth matchday of the Europe Play-offs, Gent's victory ensures that they will play in Europe next year.

Gift Orban has only been in Belgium for a few months, and although he still has a contract with Gent till 2027, considering his rapid rise, he might leave the country sooner rather than later.

The former Stabaek striker has been linked to English Premier League teams Arsenal, Manchester United, and Chelsea; however, the Evening Standard reports that the Belgians would only sell if they were offered a sizable sum of money.

What was heard

Several teams, including Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham, and Fulham, sent scouts to observe Gift Orban, a striker for Gent.

At a rate of one goal per 75 minutes, the 20-year-old has scored 19 goals in 19 games so far this season in the Belgian Pro League and Europa Conference League.

The Nigerian Orban, who is having a breakout season, featured for Gent in both halves of their Conference League quarterfinal loss to West Ham in April.

With five goals in three play-off games, he also assisted Gent in securing another season in the European Competition.

Numerous elite clubs in Europe have sent scouts to watch him play, but Gent do not need to offload one of their most valuable players, who they only acquired from Stabaek of Norway at the end of January.

Since Orban has a contract that runs through 2027, Gent would only be enticed to sell for a significant profit. It's also known that Orban is content to remain and grow in Belgium for a while before looking to transfer.
