Shola Shoretire received Bolton's boss plaudits as Amad Diallo sends message to Erik Ten Hag

Amad didn't want this season to end, and on Monday afternoon at Preston North End, he made sure it didn't when he curled home a vital opening goal for Sunderland.

His goal ignited the Black Cats' onslaught, which resulted in a 3-0 victory and earned them a spot in the Championship Playoffs. The actual goal was magnificent, possibly the best of his 13 goals this season.

Amad decided to push his team in the direction they desired because Sunderland needed the victory. Throughout the entire campaign, he has excelled when his team has needed him the most.

The young player struggled last season with the Rangers. For the final six months of the 2021–2022 season, he was loaned to the Scottish club, where he learned what it takes to be a regular in the first team. At Ibrox, the 20-year-old had trouble getting playing time, and there were rumors that a quick return to Manchester United was being contemplated.

The striker didn't participate in the team's journey to the Europa League final, but his transformation began when he scored twice in the final three league games. He started the Scottish Cup final and eventually won the match and raised the trophy.

Since scoring for United's senior side in the Europa League match against AC Milan barely two months after joining the club in January 2021, it was Amad's first truly satisfying victory.

Amad was accompanied on the team's preseason summer tour by Erik ten Hag, and he officially played four times off the bench for a total of 159 minutes, eliminating his run-out and goal in a friendly match played in secret against Wrexham.

Tony Mowbray was ecstatic when it was decided that a loan to Sunderland was appropriate. He never stopped praising the loanee and pleaded with United to hold off on calling him back in January despite his outstanding play.

Ten Hag has taken note of the extraordinary improvement in his game, and MEN Sport is aware that he is open to incorporating him into his future plans.

Actually, United might require him.

The Reds are anticipating signing a star center-forward this summer as the team decided not to keep Wout Weghorst through his loan period and Anthony Martial may also leave.

United will require a backup or even third-choice striker with the mental fortitude to turn around a game, something they have been lacking lately. When Marcus Rashford fails to score, the squad struggles to win a game because of the goal load on him.

Amad has demonstrated he has a special ability he can use to score when it counts, as demonstrated by his goal against Preston. Amad will be aware of this since he has played in both the Premier League and the Championship. Of course, the youngster is not yet fully developed.

This season, Ten Hag has often urged both characters and players to assume accountability, especially when they are up against it. It says a lot about Amad's character that he would act in such a crucial situation for Sunderland on Monday. Despite having just spent a short amount of time with the Ivory Coast international while they were teammates at United, Ten Hag will now know a lot more about him.

Amad was acquired by United for an initial £37 million two years ago; eventually, they will have to give him a chance to earn their trust.

Bolton Wanderers boss showers Praise on Man United's loanee

Shola Shoretire has been given the support of Bolton manager Ian Evatt in order to go through a challenging loan at the team and have a prosperous professional football career.

Before Christmas, Shoretire shone against Wanderers in the Papa Johns Trophy. The following month, Shoretire came on loan from United and made an impact in a handful of his early appearances.

Prior to Sunday's final-day victory against Bristol Rovers, the 19-year-old had only started three of a potential 10 games since March as he quickly dropped down the University of Bolton Stadium's pecking order.

When Shoretire was recalled to the Memorial Stadium to attack alongside Victor Adeboyejo, he scored his first goal as a senior and received immediate plaudits from his manager, Evatt, who believes the youngster can achieve alot and creating a profile for himself.

"He's a young player with an immense amount of talent," Evatt told @OfficialBWFC on YouTube.

"He is a young player so there's always dips, there's highs and lows, but he's going to have a really good future in the game and it's the first of many for him."
