Premier League rivals in for duo United's transfer targets as Madrid steps up winger's pursuit

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has named Moussa Diaby, a target for Manchester United and Real Madrid, as his summer priority.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal's top objective for the summer transfer window is Moussa Diaby. Real Madrid and Manchester United are also interested in the French international. In the meantime, Bayer Leverkusen will demand £50 million to release the electrifying winger.

After failing to obtain regular game time at Parc des Princes, Moussa Diaby graduated from the Paris Saint-Germain academy. The 23-year-old joined Bayer Leverkusen in July 2019 and has quickly established himself as one of the Bundesliga's top attackers. Simultaneously, he has broken into the French national team.

The Frenchman has had a strong 2022/23 season so far, with 14 goals and ten assists in 42 games across all competitions. Diaby's development has not gone unnoticed, with numerous high-profile clubs interested in signing him. Among his potential suitors are Real Madrid, Arsenal, and Manchester United.

Real Madrid has recently joined the hunt to recruit Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Moussa Diaby this summer. And the reigning La Liga winners have the financial means to pay £50 million for his services. Meanwhile, considering Eden Hazard's uncertain future at the Santiago Bernabeu, the interest in the Bayer Leverkusen winger is understandable.

Manchester United hope to strengthen their offensive unit during the summer transfer window. Antony has not been consistent enough, and Jadon Sancho has yet to make an impression since joining from Borussia Dortmund. So Manchester United must scour the market for a wide attacker. Diaby is also a possible target for Premier League heavyweights.

Meanwhile, according to recent reports, Arsenal is one of the front-runners to sign Diaby. Mikel Arteta has made the 23-year-old his top aim for the summer transfer window. Because Arteta will need to rotate his troops next season, the interest in the player is understandable.

Arsenal should be able to afford the £50 million fee for the French international. However, it will be interesting to see if Arsenal can outbid Real Madrid and Manchester United for his signature. For the time being, the Bayer Leverkusen winger could leave in the summer.

Premier League clubs wants

The 2022/23 Premier League season is nearing the end, with the title, top four, and relegation battles all still up for grabs.

Newcastle United are on pace to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, and Arsenal's visit to St James' Park this weekend may be a huge step towards that aim. Meanwhile, as the summer transfer window approaches, there are still plenty of transfer news stories making headlines in the background.

The Magpies and Manchester United are both being linked with a Brighton & Hove Albion player who would undoubtedly be a tremendously popular signing for any club. The North East club is claimed to have 'identified' a £40 million defender as another prospective big money signing.

Alexis MacAllister, a midfielder for Brighton, has been linked with a move away from the club at the conclusion of the season, according to CaughtOffside. Newcastle and Manchester United are said to be interested in the FIFA World Cup winner.

Newcastle United are apparently seeking for a 'great partner' for Bruno Guimares, with Red Devils coach Erik ten Hag reportedly 'amazed' by the Argentine after seeing him in action this season. However, he will not come cheap, with the Seagulls reportedly demanding a fee of around £60 million if they are to sell him this summer.

Newcastle United are apparently interested in Sporting defender Gonçalo Inácio, according to SportsWitness and the Portuguese publication O Jogo. According to reports, United has just approached the player's agent, Miguel Pinho, and is 'considering' the possibilities of a signing.

However, no contact has been made between Newcastle and Sporting, and the Portuguese club will not let Inácio leave for less than his €45 million release clause. Despite this, the article claims that United has 'taken the first moves' to try to close a deal this summer.
