"I'm very devastated"- Mohammed Salah's tweets sparks wild reactions amongst United fans after Chelsea win

With a 4-1 victory over Chelsea, Manchester United secured a spot in the Champions League for the next season.

Erik ten Hag's Manchester United secured a top four spot with a game remaining thanks to a strong performance by the Red Devils.

It is what Manchester United merits following a valiant campaign, a significant improvement over their sixth-place position from the previous year, and with at least one trophy already won.

The fact that Liverpool was thrown "off their perch" and into the Europa League may be just as wonderful.

Mohamed Salah, Liverpool's winger, posted on Twitter following the conclusion of Manchester United's victory over Chelsea.

He commented on Liverpool's 'failure' and the bad season Jurgen Klopp's team had.He wrote on Twitter: “I’m totally devastated. There’s absolutely no excuse for this. We had everything we needed to make it to next year’s Champions League and we failed."

"We are Liverpool and qualifying to the competition is the bare minimum. I am sorry but it’s too soon for an uplifting or optimistic post. We let you and ourselves down.”

Manchester United's fans aren't going to let these tweet slide without poking their arch rivals.

"I won't believe Liverpool will play in the Europa League next season until Fabrizio Romano confirms it. 😂😂😂😂," one fan wrote.

"They slept on him when he said era's do come to an end," another stated.

"He was watching united playing 😂😂😂😂," one fan trolled Salah.

They are free to constantly bring up the 7-0. But that won't help them the next season when they compete in the Europa League.

Salah would have been fervently hoping for Manchester United to make a mistake. But this season, Erik ten Hag's team has been too reliable.

Salah's disappointment will only add to Manchester United's enjoyment of the evening.
