(VIDEO) Erik Ten Hag sends FA Cup final message to fans during his arousing speech after victory against Fulham

After Manchester United trounced Fulham on Sunday afternoon, Erik ten Hag gave a stirring statement to excite the Old Trafford crowd.

With a 2-1 victory over Fulham to round out the Premier League campaign, United secured a third-place finish in the standings and the second-most points in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era.

The first season of Ten Hag has been a smashing success. The 53-year-old has already won the Carabao Cup, helped his team once more qualify for the Champions League, and will have another chance to win a trophy next week when the FA Cup is decided.

On Sunday, after the final whistle, the players gathered for a lap of honor. Ten Hag then gave David de Gea his Golden Glove medal and he then took the podium to thank the crowd.

The manager gave a stirring speech in which he expressed gratitude to all club employees and forewarned Manchester City that his team would soon arrive to claim the FA Cup.

"First of all, I want to say thank you to our players," Ten Hag said to rapturous applause.

"I think they played a brilliant season. Thank you to the staff and I also want to thank you all. Thank you for your contribution, backing us and the support."

"It was great, so thank you. But when I say these words, there's still one game to go and I'm sure these players will give everything to beat Manchester City next week. I'm sure we have a really good chance to take the cup back to Old Trafford."

'UNITED! UNITED!' cheers were immediately chorused from the throng in response, and Ten Hag grinned widely.
