Bruno Fernandes makes emotional Instagram post alongside kids picture amid Gernacho's praises

Alejandro Garnacho's goal against Wolves has caused'really euphoric' feelings in the Manchester United locker room, according to Bruno Fernandes.

After losing back-to-back games last week, United was under more pressure to win this weekend's game against Wolves, which is why Erik ten Hag was happy to see Raphael Varane return from injury.

Prior to the game, Ten Hag claimed that Varane "knows how to win," and the Frenchman was able to take pleasure in a successful comeback. Throughout the entire game, United was never in danger from Wolves, and a crucial three points were obtained.

With a straightforward finish, Anthony Martial gave United the lead in the 32nd minute. After a largely quiet second half, substitute Garnacho made it 2-0 in stoppage time to ensure a critical victory.

After the final whistle, a jubilant Fernandes spoke, praising Garnacho and suggesting that he is the ideal fit for the team.

"The spirit was there, a really professional performance," Fernandes told BBC Sport. "We knew how important it was to get the three points and we know we need to finalise the position in the top four.

"Their goalkeeper [Bentley] did a great game, his first game in the Premier League, he was amazing. Great saves and we have to give him a compliment."

"To play for Manchester United you have to be special. This club is massive and we know the past. He [Garnacho] is another one coming through. We are really happy for him.

"We need six points to secure our place [top four]. If we win our games we will be in the Champions League. We don’t need to focus on anyone else, it is in our hands."

The Portugal international as well made an emotional Instagram post with a picture of himself and his kids emerging the tunnel ahead of the kick-off against Wolverhampton on Saturday afternoon.

"A step in the right direction! Proud that I could lead my children out at Old Trafford ❤🔴"
