Thomas Frank, Brentford manager hails 'fantastic' Fred and Scott McTominay

Prior to this week's game, Brentford boss Thomas Frank praised Manchester United midfielders Fred and Scott McTominay.

On Wednesday night, Manchester United hosts Brentford at Old Trafford in an effort to rebound from a Saturday loss to Newcastle.

In the Premier League standings, Brentford is having a strong season as they sit in seventh position, ahead of Liverpool.

They also severely defeated Manchester United on the road earlier in the season, which makes that outcome seem less bizarre in light of the Red Devils' subpar road performance.

Thomas Frank, the boss of Brentford, has praised the depth of Manchester United's team.

Frank stated on their club website that Manchester United will still be an issue for them despite the absence of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen due to suspension and injury.

He chose Scott McTominay and Fred as suitable substitutes. Fans of Manchester United might feel somewhat differently.
"They have very good players, no matter what. Let’s say Fred and [Scott] McTominay play there, they are very good and are doing fantastic in many ways," Frank Thomas stated.

“I guess Manchester United think that Eriksen and Casemiro are two of their better players and every team wants their best players on the pitch."

“But United have such a strong squad – they will put a decent team out there! They will create problems for us on Wednesday night but, of course, they’d like to have their best players on the pitch.”

Brentford also has some medical concerns. Vitaly Janelt, a defensive midfielder for the Bees who has made 27 appearances across all competitions this season, is anticipated to skip the match.

Even though he will resume light exercise, according to his manager, it will "probably be too early for Wednesday night."
