Mjallby AIF's Sporting director, confirms Man United's interest in 19 year old mid fielder,Otton Rosengren

A talented young Swedish midfielder is being pursued by a number of clubs, including Manchester United, according to the club's sporting director.

Otto Rosengren, 19, has been a standout player for Allsvenskan club Mjallby AIF in Sweden's top division, drawing interest from Holland, Denmark, and Erik ten Hag's Premier League team.

Hans Larsson, the sporting director for Mjallby, steadfastly refused to rule out selling the talented kid, reasoning that the Red Devils' interest demonstrated Rosengren's progress.

There have been clubs in Denmark, England, and the Netherlands looking at him, Larsson told Tipsbladet. He has drawn the attention of Viborg, AGF, and Manchester United among others.

"There is nothing concrete about him. There have been some rumours, and then several clubs have looked at him."

Hans Larsson explained that he does not know if the side will let Rosengren leave in the summer transfer window - which is mid-season in Sweden. Larsson said: "We must wait and see. It’s his first year as a real first-team player in Allsvenskan, and I’m not so sure he wants to leave either. We’ll have to wait and see what happens."

While he had never seen a member of Man United, Larsson claimed that they had visited him multiple times in a different interview with Fotbollskanalaen. The sports director described the Premier League club's interest as "really nice," adding that it was "wonderful" because it showed that Mjallby's operations were successful and that he was their own creation.

Although 'nothing concrete' has been decided in either direction, he said he didn't want to put the 19-year-old under 'too much pressure' and anticipated him to remain in place past the end of the year.

Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho, Anthony Martial, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelöf, Scott McTominay, and Fred are among the senior Manchester United players whose futures will be cleared out this summer under Erik ten Hag's direction.

The management will do this to raise money to reinvest in the team and raise its bar. The 3-0 humiliation against Sevilla on Thursday, which saw United eliminated 5-2 overall from the Europa League, has focused Ten Hag's evaluation of his team as he looks to continue his rebuild.

Donny van de Beek, Anthony Elanga, Dean Henderson, and Brandon Williams are further players that Ten Hag is considering allowing to depart.

The loaned players Alex Telles, Hannibal Mejbri, and Eric Bailly, as well as the free agents Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe, are all almost expected to leave the team.

Not every player whose future is in doubt will go because Ten Hag must strike a balance between letting go of individuals he does not want as first choices, making a select few outstanding additions, and maintaining the right level of squad depth. He might decide against selling both Maguire and Lindelöf because it might be challenging to find two new first-team squad center-backs; the former is expected to be let go.

David de Gea, who played with Maguire in Seville's defensive farce, has not yet agreed to a new deal, but it is thought that he will because Ten Hag's priorities in the summer transfer window are a world-class No 9 and bolstering midfield. Additionally, Ten Hag must determine if the Marcel Sabitzer and Wout Weghorst loans should be converted into long-term agreements. It is believed that the latter may not be kept, but that a deal for Sabitzer with Bayern Munich may be attempted.

Whether the Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, or any additional funding from investment firms interested in partnering with Ten Hag will assume control of the company will determine how much Ten Hag will spend.

The fact that United may consider offers for a winger who initially cost Borussia Dortmund £73 million (€82.5 million) in July 2021 is a clue that Sancho has fallen short of expectations. Maguire, who cost £80 million (€90.4 million) to acquire in 2019, is still the most expensive defender in history. He came from Leicester. Ajax received an initial payment of £34.7 million (€39.2 million) for Van de Beek, who has struggled to maintain a position. The Guardian.

If ten Hag is successful in getting the required funding from the club's owner, Manchester United will probably consider making an investment during the summer transfer window.

The team is third in the league, far behind leaders Arsenal and Man City, even though they won the Carabao Cup and will play in an FA Cup semifinal on Sunday.

To make matters worse, Sevilla defeated Man United 3-0 on Thursday night to knock the Red Devils out of the Europa League at the quarterfinal stage.

Man United will likely try to strengthen their options up front and consider prospective possibilities at right-back as they aim to compete in the Champions League next season.

In other news, Burnley are set to compete with Liverpool and Manchester United for the Anderlecht star, Bart Verbruggen, who is tipped to become one of the "top five goalkeepers in the world."

It is simple to overlook the fact that Verbruggen has only been a member of the first team for around four months. The Netherlands young star, who is only 20 years old, carries himself with the wisdom and assurance of someone who has been around for a long time.

In recent games, Verbruggen has maintained six straight clean sheets. He also eliminated Ludogorets from the UEFA Conference League with his penalty-saving genius, and Verbruggen put on another masterful performance in the round of 16 against Villarreal.

Both Liverpool and a Manchester United team looking to replace David de Gea long-term are said to have noticed the youngster's exceptional reflexes.

Tuur Dierckx of KV Westerlo, who was unable to beat Verbruggen during a scoreless draw earlier this month, thinks the £15 million-rated goalkeeper is headed for the top of the international game.

“At Anderlecht there was one player on the field who was two or three classes better than the rest. Verbruggen is not normal,” Dierckx tells 90 Minutes.

“He will be among the top five in the world. And I mean that seriously. He has everything to become that.”

In the summer of 2022, Verbruggen, who made his first-team debut at Anderlecht under Vincent Kompany, was on the verge of joining Burnley. The Sun claims that the Clarets are still interested.

Kompany is a product of Pep Guardiola's tactical academy. In his strategy, a goalie must serve as both the first and last lines of defense.

“He plays as ‘number ten’ from the back,” Dierckx adds. “His passing, that is also not normal. I was really impressed by Verbruggen.”

Even though Kompany did help the Clarets return to the Premier League last week, some experts think Burnley's chances of success are over.

“He is simply unstoppable,” former Netherlands goalkeeper Ronald Waterreus tells Rondo. “This is (former Liverpool ace) Sander Westerveld, but even better. He was also a keeper who had everything. The body, physicality.

“That, Bart has too, only Bart is even better. Verbruggen has the peaceful mindset. If you talk to him, he is not a 20-year-old boy. He’s an adult guy. He knows exactly what he wants. I think he is already the best Dutch keeper at the moment, yes.

“He won’t go there (to Burnley) anymore.”
