Giorgi Mamardashvili, 22, set to cost Premier League and La Liga suitors €100 million

Giorgi Mamardashvili, a goalkeeper for Valencia, is allegedly coveted by Manchester United, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur.

The international player from Georgia initially signed a transfer agreement with Valencia in the summer of 2021, and six months later, he made the switch permanently.

Although Mamardashvili was initially brought in as a backup, he has since cemented his position as the club's starting goalkeeper, appearing in all 27 league games this year.

His performances have caught the attention of several Premier League clubs despite the fact that he has only kept five clean sheets this season for a Valencia team that is presently fighting for its La Liga life. The 22-year-old is being watched by top Premier League teams Man United, Chelsea, and Tottenham, claims Cope.

With the addition of David de Gea, Tom Heaton, Jack Butland, and Dean Henderson, Manchester United hopes to improve their goalkeeping unit.

The Red Devils reportedly spoke with Mamardashvili's representatives a few months ago, but Erik ten Hag's group's willingness to pursue a transfer is still unknown.

Tottenham has sent club representatives to observe Mamardashvili in action and keep tabs on his growth as they consider replacing Hugo Lloris this summer.

Prior to their Premier League matchup against Liverpool on Tuesday at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea and the player's representatives convened.

The Blues are rumored to want to add a new number-one goalkeeper during the upcoming summer transfer season, and they may try to offload at least one of Kepa Arrizabalaga or Edouard Mendy.

As they search for a long-term replacement for Kasper Schmeichel, who departed the team last summer, Leicester City is said to be leading the race for the Georgian goalkeeper, according to a separate report by Fabrizio Romano.

Given that Leicester are presently two points from safety, their ability to avoid relegation will likely determine whether they can sign Mamardashvili.

However, it may be difficult to lure Mamardashvili away from Ruben Baraja's team given that the goalkeeper recently inked a new contract that runs through June 2027.

According to reports, Mamardashvili's new contract with Valencia has a sizeable release provision worth an estimated €100 million (£87.5 million).

Manchester United are reportedly interested in Brentford's David Raya as well while reports from last two months suggests that they are interested in FC Porto's Diogo Costa who will cost Manchester United the same transfer fee as Mamardashvili.
