This weekend, Everton will travel to Old Trafford to compete against the Red Devils. They are positioned 16th going into the contest, while United are in fourth place.

The Toffees haven't lost in any of their last four league trips to the Theatre of Dreams, so they'll be eager to continue the remarkable run and increase their prospects of staying in the league as the dreaded drop approaches.

"I’ve had faith since I’ve been in the building and the players are paying that back with the way they’re working on the training ground, in fact, all of the players are," he stated during his press conference.

"The squad mentality that I preach to them is important."

“People coming into games, people wanting – being thirsty to affect a situation. Everyone’s got to make a difference, not just one person, it’s everyone.”

Manchester United played one of their outstanding games during the mid week, as they trashed Frank's Brentford to go three points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur in the race to secure a Champions League spot next season.

A win against Everton during the Weekend will solidify their place in the tip four with another outstanding game awaiting against Brighton Albion. It's going to be a tricky and tough game for Man United as the Toffees are in a relegation battle.

They struck late through Michael Keane's stunner to pick a point on Monday as they drew Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 at Goodison Park.

Manchester United are anticipating the return of some first team players ahead of the early kick off against Everton during the weekend. Christian Eriksen is gearing up to return, the Denmark international was spotted at Old Trafford on Wednesday night alongside Alejandro Gernacho during the Red Devils 1-0 over Brentford.

Erik Ten Hag has already given a time scale as of when the mid fielder will return to action. Ten Hag on Eriksen returning vs Everton:  "He is progressing. He is now back only this week in team training tomorrow and the day after tomorrow [Friday]. We have two sessions. After that, we will decide if he is back in the squad again."
