Rio Ferdinand gives Kylian Mbappe Man United's advise as he chooses PSG star over Harry Kane

Manchester United's legend Rio Ferdinand has advised Paris Saint Germain star Kylian Mbappe to join his former side after the Ligue 1 giants were eliminated from the UEFA champions league on Wednesday night by Bayern Munich.

Paris Saint Germain lost the two legged UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie on a 3-0 aggregate. Former PSG striker Eric Maxim Choupo- Moting and Serge Gnabry scored for the Bundesliga side to ensure the French club could not turn around their 1-0 deficit from the first leg of the encounter.

Paris Saint Germain elimination means they have failed to progress from the round of 16 stage of the competition for the fifth time in the last seven years.

Rio Ferdinand said on BT Sport that he believes it's time the 24 year old leave the French capital for a more competitive league and claims that Man United would be one of the best choices for him.

“He’s the most devastating player to watch on the planet right now. I love watching him," Rio Ferdinand asserted.

“I think to go to the next level, he needs to go to a more competitive league. I think as much as he’s been great for PSG and they’ve been great for him, he’s won the World Cup and now he’ll want to win the Champions League and I don’t see that happening there."

“[He should move to] Man United! The Premier League is the best, most entertaining league in the world, the most competitive league in the world 100%."

“I’d love to see him come here – but nowhere else but Man United if he comes to England!" Rio Ferdinand explained.

The Manchester United's legend was asked if he would like the France international at Man United or Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane and the former defender was blunt with his reply.

"Oh 100% Mbappe. I think even Kane would say Mbappe as well," he replied.

“He’s young, he’s beginning to get towards his peak years. He’s not even there yet and he’s already scored more than 200 goals for PSG, won a World Cup and been top scorer at a World Cup.”

Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch concurred with the former defender's comments as he claimed that the World Cup winner's standards are above the French outfit.

"He is in a league that’s below the standard that he’s set," Peter Crouch stated.

“He’s been unbelievable for France, he’s done fantastically well, PSG’s record goalscorer already, so I think the time has come to try it in a top league: either Spain or England."

“Let’s be honest. he can pick any club he wants. I think the rumblings and the rumours around Real Madrid don’t seem to be going away. He’s been attached to them for a long time but of course Liverpool are the other option for him!”
