Manchester United ready to accept €25 million for Anthony Martial as contract expiration date edges closer

Manchester United is prepared to part ways with French attacker Anthony Martial, according to TeamTalk via Fichajes. The 27-year-old hasn't accomplished what everyone anticipated of him. Additionally, the Red Devils' demand of €25 million for him in the summer may spell the end of his tenure at Old Trafford.

Anthony Martial, a 27-year-old French attacker, will be sold by Manchester United for €25 million before the upcoming season.

Anthony Martial gained notoriety as a result of his valiant efforts at AS Monaco in the past. Manchester United noticed him from his performances and acquired him in the summer of 2015. The French wonderkid was signed by the Red Devils at the age of 19.

But things haven't exactly gone as I had hoped. Martial has fallen short of the standards that were set for him, despite the occasional success he has had. The 27-year-old has participated in 283 games for Manchester United and has been a part of 137 goals. Although he still has respectable total numbers for Manchester United, in recent years he has been losing ground.

Martial scored goals for fun to open the current season. But his season has once again been hampered by injuries. The bulk of the season has been spent on the bench by the French international. In total, he has only made 14 starts and has contributed to 9 goals.

The present Manchester United contract for the France international expires in the summer of 2024. Additionally, the Red Devils have no intention of renewing his deal. They will try to offload him in the summer because his contract only has about 15 months remaining.

According to the report, the Red Devils will agree to let him depart for about €25 million. Additionally, they have begun to make plans for living after his exit.

The Dutch manager is still in the running for additional trophies at the team despite having already won one. Ten Hag, however, thinks that the team's attack would benefit greatly from reinforcements. In order to compete for the Premier League and UEFA Champions League titles next season, he is eager to acquire a few new forwards.

They are also keeping an eye on Moussa Dembele, who will be a free agent in the summer after his deal with Lyon expires. Dembele is a top priority for Manchester United as a potential Anthony Martial's replacement. Also anticipated is their drive for a second star striker in the summer.
