Man United set to edge Chelsea for 15 year old Watford sensation, Harry Amass.

According to the Evening Standard, Premier League powerhouse Manchester United look set to defeat arch-rivals Chelsea to sign Watford wonderkid Harry Amass in the 2023 summer transfer window. The left-back made his senior debut for the Hornets earlier this year at the age of just 15, and is anticipated to have a bright future in the game.

Manchester United, has a history of nurturing young talent. At Old Trafford, players like Marcus Rashford passed through the ranks, and under Erik ten Hag, that route might once more pick up speed.

The youngster has been on the Red Devils' radar for the past two years, and they are well aware of his promise. They are presently engaged in advanced negotiations with the adolescent and appear to be winning the race for his signature.

Harry Amass has already competed for England in junior competition. His silverware at the UEFA Development tournament last month also shows that he has a winning attitude, which would be appreciated at the Theatre of Dreams.

The young player has drawn interest from a number of other top teams, including Chelsea. Under Todd Boehly, the Blues have been pursuing talented players left and right and appear eager to assemble a rich pool of talent.

While names like Mykhaylo Mudryk and Enzo Fernandez rightfully garner attention, the entry of a number of other possibilities has largely gone unnoticed. Carney Chukwuemeka, Gabriel Slolina, and Andre Santos are a few of the new additions to the Blues. Amass joining that roster seems unlikely to happen.

Old Trafford presently has Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia as its left backs, but Amass is still a ways off from making his senior debut and can afford to wait it out in the youth ranks.

Harry Amass is currently a hot prospect with a rising personality. In the upcoming years, he might very well grow into a first-division fixture. Man United could gain the upper hand on their competitors by signing him right away.
