'Extraordinary'- Park Ji Sung raves about Napoli star, amid Man United and Premier League interests

Former Manchester United midfielder and the first Asian footballer to don a Red Devils shirt at Old Trafford, Park Ji Sung, has raved about Manchester United transfer target and Napoli ace Kim Min Jae.

Park Ji Sung has described his countryman as "an extraordinary talent" and encouraged his former side to bring the 26-year-old to Old Trafford. Kim Min Jae has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent months, and it appears to be Manchester United, with Goal and Mirror allegedly making claims.

Park Ji Sung, the first Asian and South Korean to play for Manchester United and who enjoyed a stellar career under Sir Alex Ferguson, raved about Kim Min Jae's potential rise to becoming one of the best center backs in Europe. Speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, Park Ji-Sung was quizzed about the current South Korea international, and it is clear he rates him highly.

“Extraordinary. What a talent." "He took the right step by going to play in Turkey and showed himself ready to take a step forward," J.S. Park said.

“He didn’t come directly to Italy but step by step, so he grew, and there is no doubt that he is doing extraordinary things as a technical leader and personality in Naples.”

Napoli allegedly signed the center back for a fee of £3 million last summer and could make heavy profits if a sale to the Premier League is sanctioned for the South Korea international. Manchester United would be looking to blister their defensive options while there could be exits, as team captain Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof are both being linked with a move away from the 20-time Premier League Champions.

Fabrizio Romano stated that Napoli's manager Luciano Spalleti made huge claims to elevate the center back amid interest from top clubs in Europe: "Kim Min-Jae is the best center-back in the world right now."

Kim Min Jae is on course to win the Seria A title with Napoli this season and could have the chance of lifting the UEFA Champions League as well. He has reportedly got a release clause worth millions in his contract, and Napoli will be willing to negotiate if they are offered at least £40 million for the 26-year-old defender.
