Man United striker hunt takes new twist as Tammy Abraham joins Harry Kane and Victor Oshimen on wishlist

Manchester United are reportedly set to be rivaled by Aston Villa for the signature of former Chelsea ace and AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham.

According to 90 Minutes, the 25-year-old is on the radar of Manchester United and has also drawn interest from Aston Villa. Aston Villa are already familiar with the former Chelsea academy graduate; the Birmingham-based club gave him a career breakthrough while he was on a stint with the club back in the 2018-19 campaign.

The AS Roma striker scored 26 goals in 40 appearances for the Villans as they got promoted back to the Premier League. It isn't certain yet if the Red Devils will make any move for the English ace in the coming months; however, MEN claims that the 20-time Premier League Champions are seriously monitoring the player's situation in Rome.

Tammy Abraham has struggled this season under Jose Mourinho at Roma, but the Seria A side are still in the mix for a top-four finish and securing a place in next campaign's UEFA Champions League competition.

Manchester United's legend Dimitar Berbatov has advised his former side to snap up Juventus ace Dusan Vlahovic if Tottenham's Harry Kane and Napoli's Victor Oshimen's pursuits prove to be futile.

Manchester United have been in the hunt for a striker since Cristiano Ronaldo's exit, but they have only found a temporary solution in Wout Weghorst. The Old Trafford club also have Harry Kane and Victor Oshimen on their wishlist.

Victor Oshimen has been banging goals consistently for Napoli as they have opened an 18-point lead in their title race. The 24 year old Nigeria international has scored in 17 consecutive games for the Serie A side as they push for their first league title in 33 years.

Manchester Evening News reported that the Seria A club has slapped a price tag of £107 million, and it could rise if the striker's ridiculous form continues.

Harry Kane has cemented his status as a Tottenham Hotspur legend after becoming their highest goalscorer in history. His contract expires in 2024, and Manchester United are seriously monitoring the England striker.

Dimitar Berbatov opined that his former side should go for Juventus' Dušan Vlahovic if both Victor Oshimen and Harry Kane's pursuits prove abortive.

The 22-year-old Serbia international has notched 19 goals in 41 appearances for the Old Lady since his arrival from Fiorentina and effectively replaced Cristiano Ronaldo, who departed the Seria A side for Manchester United.

"Vlahovic is very young and still has a lot to prove, but his goalscoring record is great." "That's why Juventus paid so much money for him," Berbatov said while promoting Betfred.

"If you want a quick striker, you go for Osimhen, because he's unbelievably quick." "If you want a striker that has a history of producing many goals in the Premier League, then you go for Harry Kane because he's broken many records and has won three Golden Boots."

"If you want somebody a bit younger, then you could go for Dusan Vlahovic." It all depends on Erik ten Hag's plan. "Manchester United might not sign any of these three players; they could opt to sign somebody else," he explained.

Manchester United are evidently lacking a natural goal scorer this season under Erik Ten Hag, Anthony Martial's injury woes, and Cristiano Ronaldo's exit has left the squad depleted.

Wout Weghorst's arrival hasn't really solved the striker's issues, but the Burnley loanee is getting the job done in other areas of the pitch.
