Man United still has four advantages to benefit from as Casemiro serves three league match ban

The weekend saw Casemiro make his Premier League comeback against Crystal Palace, but he also earned himself another suspension.

The Brazilian international received a second suspension after receiving a straight red card in the victory over Palace.

It appeared as though Casemiro was picked out by the referee when he was sent off after a scuffle in the second half. United might try to get it overturned.

But as they say, "always look on the bright side," there are good things to say about Casemiro's dismissal.

> Man United will learn to adapt to Casemiro's absence

In recent months, Manchester United has grown rather dependent on Casemiro. Against Arsenal and most definitely during the final 20 minutes against Palace, he was missing. Without the Brazilian, United will be put to the test during this three-game league stretch and will have to adjust.

They will demonstrate to themselves and their opponents that they can succeed without him by doing this. This will be crucial so that United won't fall apart if Casemiro is unexpectedly forced out again.

> Someone else can step up

In agreement with Luke Shaw's comments following Casemiro's red card, it's an opportunity for the rest of the squad to step up and utilize the Brazilian's absence to their own advantage.

"We’re extremely disappointed to lose him, but I think it’s now a big opportunity for someone else to come in and make their mark on this team and show their qualities and why they’re here," the 28-year-old told MUTV.

Casemiro has made himself a trusted servant to Erik Ten Hag in his role in the team's midfield and has made the position his own. However, here is an opportunity for the rest of the squad to show the former Ajax manager he can rely on them to carry out the Brazilian's duties diligently.

> There are bigger games ahead

Casemiro will be absent for three games. Following the home game against Leicester City, there will be two Premier League games against Leeds United.

There are worse games to miss, perhaps. The Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United will see Casemiro make a comeback. He will also be available for the FA Cup game against West Ham and the subsequent Premier League game at Anfield against Liverpool.

Casemiro's suspension would make you choose the three games from this stretch that he must reluctantly sit out.

There are two Europa League matches against Barcelona in the midst of this run. In addition to getting some much-needed rest, Casemiro will be ready for both of these.

Casemiro won't be overexerted by the time he faces his compatriot, Bruno Guimaraes, who is serving a three-match suspension for Newcastle and is a vital midfielder.

> An advantage to Marcel Sabitzer

The new arrival made his debut for Manchester United as he came in for the rest of the game after Casemiro's dismissal. The last 10 minutes of Marcel Sabitzer's game versus Palace were spent in the deep end, but he handled it effectively.

In the Leeds games, when Erik ten Hag will have to start him, the Austrian has the potential to make an immediate impact. Marcel Sabitzer will begin playing right away, rather than sitting on the sidelines for the majority of the first several weeks of his Man United stint. He's just passing through, and the loanee will be happy to pitch in.
