Ralf Ragnick hails Paul Pogba despite the midfielder's claiming to be unhappy

Manchester United interim manager Ralf Ragnick has responded to Paul Pogba's claim of not being played in his favorite position and not having a role in the Red Devils team.

While on international duty with France, Paul Pogba claimed he would love to play for PSG. Paul Pogba asserted he performs better when he plays with the French national team as he understands his role, but it is the other way round at Old Trafford.

Ralf Ragnick in a separate interview ahead of the Manchester United game at Old Trafford on Saturday, the manager explained he would not judge Paul Pogba by his statements but rather by how he plays on the pitch.

When quizzed about Paul's comment, Ralf Ragnick swiftly replied

“I heard that he [Pogba] maybe said he had to play different positions in the last couple of weeks. Yes, of course, because since the game against West Ham on 22 January, we have lost three strikers since then,” he explained.

“If Paul was injured, players like Bruno [Fernandes] or Scott McTominay are missing. Then, someone else has to play a different role."

Ralf however, hailed the World Cup winner for his flexibility on the pitch.

“If there is somebody like Paul, a flexible midfield player. Who can play in a six, eight, or even ten? Then this is the normal thing.”
