Manchester United fans calls for Moises Caicedo's signing after Mac Allister's Liverpool move

The news that Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister is close to joining Liverpool has sparked reactions from Manchester United supporters.

The Merseysiders, who are looking to improve their midfield options for the 2023–24 season, have long had their eyes on the 24-year-old World Cup winner.

Other media reports said that United had been keeping an eye on the midfielder, although MEN Sport recently announced that Mason Mount had reached a personal contract with the team.

Both Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo appear destined to leave the Seagulls in the near future after helping the team win the Europa League for the first time ever.

On social media United supporters' reacted to the player's decision to join arch rivals Liverpool:

"I want both. Rather than mount. Sign Mac. Similar money with Mac’s release clause of £45m. But yes I definitely prefer Caicedo between the 2," one fan stated.

"If only we was a decent club hey
Caicedo casemiro Bruno
I'd like to see it," another asserted.

"Yea fans sees more than the board Caicedo or Amrabat highly needed and any of the two will fit in the type of playing UTD is having and both is energetic enough to do the work," another suggested.

"I don't understand why MU keeps crashing into Mason Mount and losing Mac Allister to Liverpool. Even his starting XI didn't win and if it was good then Chelsea wouldn't have sold.
Mac Allister will become the Premier League's No 1 midfielder for the next five years," one fan claimed.

"Get me Caicedo and pair him with Casemiro and create the walls of Gibraltar in our midfield!"

"But one fan made a comment which has called for a serious assessment.
"Lol brilliant we are getting neither joke club now, United fans don’t think we did better this year we finished in the top 4 because other clubs failed not because we we’re better. I take no joy in the lucky win against Newcastle in the league cup final. We are average at best next year if the Glazers stay mid table team," the fan said.
